Re: Daryl McMahon
So is that scoring from set pieces or defending them? We aren’t good at any of them!!The Reverend wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 7:17 pmA “set piece coach” for a league 1 club. Too many cooks springs to mind…

Re: Daryl McMahon
My first thought was "watch your back Richie", McMahon very much a Ling favourite and much closer to the manager role experience wise than Terry, Harrold or Royce

Seen him in the Legends Lounge for the past couple of home games and wondered why he was there.
TBH nothing much comes from our corners and if he has some ideas to create something then it’s worth trying.

Re: Daryl McMahon
Not sure for the negativity here. Our set pieces have been terrible for months. If he can improve this area then great. If he can’t then he’s not doing his job successfully and will need to be moved on. Surely worth a try.

Re: Daryl McMahon
It was Richie's idea. He also trains the players that do not travel away on a Friday. Stop making out more about this than it is. Listen to the interview negative ninnies

The worst kept secret of the last two weeks now made official.

Does this mean we might score with a header direct from a corner again. I can't remember the last time I saw us do that. Though I did have the privilege of watching Scott Cuthbert and Marvin Bartley power in headers against Carlisle & Gillingham respectively in 2013/2014 season. Great goals.

Re: Daryl McMahon
I agree and cannot help smiling to myself every time supporters get whipped into a frenzy us being awarded a corner as it is always worth a large bet that nothing will come of it. Work on upping the percentage from corners and he will certainly have earned his corn.EliotNes wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 7:54 am The worst kept secret of the last two weeks now made official.

Re: Daryl McMahon
Smiling/Frenzy - I just think, how are we going to foul-up a corner up again. But that's the mindset one gets from supporting the Os since 1968.Loin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 8:37 amI agree and cannot help smiling to myself every time supporters get whipped into a frenzy us being awarded a corner as it is always worth a large bet that nothing will come of it.
