Where does it say 20% ??Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 5:45 pm We have 20% of any profit so could be as much as £1.2 million. It will at least give us some leeway in the January window, so let’s hope it happens.
What recently or 6 years ago when he was sold ??Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:22 pm Lingy has previously stated we have a 20% sell on for Alzate in one of his interviews.
I’d really like to believe it , wonder if anyone else heard the interview, I certainly didn’t heard many times that sell on clauses are added but never what %Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:45 pm Recently I think he was talking to the Outlook podcast. He was asked about transfers and said he always has a clause for sell ons, included and sometimes appearances. He then name checked Alzate and said in Stephens sale we had a clause to give us 20% of any profit. I can’t be arsed to trawl back and find it but you can have a look if you like.
Any money would be good in our current injury situation but this was a bit out of the blue. Could have extra funds from an unexpected source!Bergen wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 8:26 pm "Orient will receive a fee for the signature of the teen and are understood to have a sell-on clause in the deal".

But, it doesn`t say how much.
Agreed , especially since we've used some , if not all of our January transfer money brining in players due to injuriesTop of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 5:45 pm We have 20% of any profit so could be as much as £1.2 million. This is beside the point, but If they got a loan fee that created a profit we'd still get a percentage of it.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 6:08 pm No but it doesn’t mention a loan. Not really in anyone’s interest to loan him out he’s well down the pecking order.
That's what I was wondering just thinking back to when Southampton "sold" Rickie Lambert to Liverpool so they could avoid paying the sell-on fee for Lallana. Was wondering if clubs can do something similar with loans after seeing how Arsenal are "loaning" Raya to keep within FFPAdz wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 2:19 amThis is beside the point, but If they got a loan fee that created a profit we'd still get a percentage of it.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 6:08 pm No but it doesn’t mention a loan. Lingy has stated in a very early interview around the time when Bonne was sold to QPR that in all cases when selling players a 20% sell on fee is included .He actually mentioned Alzate in that interviewDaveDunmore wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:53 pmI’d really like to believe it , wonder if anyone else heard the interview, I certainly didn’t heard many times that sell on clauses are added but never what %Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:45 pm Recently I think he was talking to the Outlook podcast. Great news for the club if this does happen and if this proposed transfer does happen, then hope that Steve Alzate's career flourishes at his new club.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 5:45 pm We have 20% of any profit so could be as much as £1.2 million. Correct, so at today's currency rate....................1 euro equals 0.85 pound Sterling.LittleMate wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 10:34 pm Its €8m - so its under £7m so we could still be in for a fair whack if true. Alzate had his chance under Potter but has stalled. Watched him a few times and seemed hesitant to play positive football - almost if he was scared to make a mistake.

Showing results for 8 million euros to pounds
8,000,000 Euro equals
6,837,443.80 Pound sterling, so if its 20% of that going to the Os bank account, happy days indeed !
