Been a pleasure
Yesterday and today I’ve been reading lots of posts on here and it’s been a pleasure to read them for a change. No abuse or rudeness just plan talking weather you agree with people’s views or not. All conducted in an adult fashion.I have also noticed that there’s been a few names that don’t usually post. I have no problem with some on here that don’t agree with my views infact they think I talk out of my backside(and there probably right) but if you do disagree then put your argument in some sort of dignified way
Again well done LSN![🙊](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f64a.svg)

Re: Been a pleasure
Just made a comment on another post about the opposite of this and how it stops more people posting (including me).
It’s great to see people can have different views and not have to engage in a petty contest. Instead they can articulate those views and there’s no harm done.

Hi Horient, thanks for your reply it’s much appreciated. There are people that are registered on here that don’t engage in conversations for the very reason you and I have mentioned. Let me say this straight,I have no problem with people disagreeing or agreeing with my views what so ever infact I welcome it, thats the whole point of a forumHorient wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 6:49 am Just made a comment on another post about the opposite of this and how it stops more people posting (including me).

However like/we have said it’s the way you go about it.
This forum has the potential to be a voice that O’s supporters who can openly discuss subjects about the club that other boards are scared to talk about, but in a cool calm way and not in an offensive and derogatory way that some result to on here. If people want to act that way that’s down to them,it’s not mine. If I have got people talking on here again that don’t usually post then I’m happy. We have a long hard season in front of us and there will be many pros and cons to be said, and everyone will have a different opinion but let’s not act like children instead try to have a reasonable adult conversation please

I would go further and recommend virtual Boardin' group hugz. Probably at 5pm on a Saturday after a win. Not sure if it would be feasible after a loss but maybe would be just about possible after a draw against one of the sleeping giants like Derby or Wycombe.

Where am I not positive? After the spate of recent signings I think we are building a decent squad and suspect it will be strengthened further.
I'm reasonably optimistic about winning promotion but probably not as champions this time. Although I'm not ruling out the treble.

Yes I get the tongue in cheek about the treble and promotion but I think we are one permanent keeper,one/two forwards and a centre back away from a top 10 finish ![🙊](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f64a.svg)

Agree with your evaluation of players that the squad is short of.
Getting a new good keeper signed up soon must surely be the number one priority ?

Re: Been a pleasure
Thanks for the reply frank, not sure either but willing to give max the benefit of the doubt? I would really like to give most on here the benefit and am willing to listen to any opposite opinion to mine and welcome a frank and grown up discussion. For far to long this board has been dominated by a few let’s say very argumentative people who have nothing to do but sit behind a key board and slag people off for no apparent reason other than to be obnoxious and rude. This board like I have said has the potential if used correctly to have open and honest discussions without being personal to each other.FrankOFile wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 8:52 amIs this just an extension of Boris’ ‘Clap for the Carers’ nonsense?Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 10:13 amNicer and kinder Boardin'. I think the other board is great but I feel it maybe influenced by the club in some way? But that’s only my opinion and there has been many on here that have switched for the very reason I have stated. Sorry to waffle

Re: Been a pleasure
A few years ago I remember meeting a few Os fans pre match, ( never met them before, they were complete strangers to me ) and they were voicing much the same opinion, e.g about this forum being toxic. They came on here a few times then left for good because of that same reason. Be nice if it can become a bit less argumentative and aggressive in future as seems to be the case more recently, will also hopefully lead to new members coming here, hearing different views and ideas about the club and football in general placing new threads and comments etc.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 9:12 amThanks for the reply frank, not sure either but willing to give max the benefit of the doubt? First and foremost you have asked a question in a polite way so I will tell you in a polite and honest way even though I’ve never seen you post on here before so I’m really sceptical who you really are ? I was dropped from the other board without an explanation. I have since found out that there have been others treated in the same way. Why, probably because I called out Jacket after half a season and I was proved correct. I was critical about Ling when he failed to get a decent manager after 7 attempts.(has since got Wellens inUnicorngirl1881 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 7:47 pmTuffers said to say HelloMonkey Boy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 5:35 pm Yesterday and today I’ve been reading lots of posts on here and it’s been a pleasure to read them for a change. I think your find that I’m no alias as you are more than welcome to ask the person who runs the forum. If you call saying what I saw and what I knew about the club then yes you could call that nasty but I was never rude infact I was in contact on a personal level with a few on there and miss there chatsUnicorngirl1881 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:00 pmIm a personal friend of TuffersMonkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 8:15 pmFirst and foremost you have asked a question in a polite way so I will tell you in a polite and honest way even though I’ve never seen you post on here before so I’m really sceptical who you really are ? Liars always Lie when defending themselves .Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:29 pmI think your find that I’m no alias as you are more than welcome to ask the person who runs the forum. If you call saying what I saw and what I knew about the club then yes you could call that nasty but I was never rude infact I was in contact on a personal level with a few on there and miss there chatsUnicorngirl1881 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:00 pmIm a personal friend of TuffersMonkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 8:15 pm
I was critical about Ling when he failed to get a decent manager after 7 attempts.(has since got Wellens in) the other board has links with the club so judge for your self. I was band from this board for only 2 weeks for telling tuffers what a horrible nasty narcissistic person he actually after he was very rude to me and still is. Now I hope that answers your random question Tuffers

In front of him on the trip to Hull for the play offs .
He offered his seat as he guessed my husband & I would want to sit together , a Real Gentleman & one of the sweetest funniest kind person I know .
He said Mungo's board said you were a bit nasty over there & He thinks you are 1 of 3 former aliases on here .
Who were permanently banned on here for being exceptionally nasty .
I can understand people have different views without having met or known a person in real life

I’m no computer buff and no wish to be. If i post on here I try to do it in a polite way and expect to be treated in the same way. There are some on here that just want to be nasty and obnoxious for what ever reason? It’s not my way

Re: Been a pleasure
I suggest respectfully that you go back a few seasons and look up the history and you will find I’ve been a member on here for a few seasons. Hope that answers your questionAdz wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 12:22 amWho did you used to be on here Monkey Boy? Always like to connect the historical dots.
