Has been told by Ipswich that he can go out on loan again next season. Charlton, Derby and Wycombe want him and I hope we are in the mix too. Would make a lot of sense if he returned, same league as the other interested clubs and know the manager, staff players and fans have trust in him. He told RW before the end of last season that he would like to come back. So the balls in his court, If he re-signed we would have gone from having a crap midfield two years ago to a stellar group of midfielders for next season.
Fingers crossed.

Yes thought that might happen, only fly in the ointment is have we now got to many centre mids? Think most would have him back in a heartbeat

I'd be absolutely delighted if this happened . I'd like to think the club is working on it .

Don’t Ipswich have a say in where he goes

Would be disappointing if he goes to another L1 side on loan after how well he developed under RW last season. Would be a cracking midfield if we got him along with the two signings already made.

Probably but surely the player also has a say .

Can understand the obvious appeal of Charlton or Derby over us but he must appreciate what he has here - a manager who has improved him dramatically and a team that plays in a style that suits his game perfectly. Ipswich must be delighted with how we've progressed him as well.
I would cry if he comes back, not even joking.

Nah, we have 5 so still have room for one more. Only issue is whether the budget can accomodate it.

He may be encouraged by Ipswich from a growth/profile perspective to go to one of the top championship size clubs, Derby/Charlton etc or Peterborough Nearby. Imagine the finances are relatively similar if all will pay his wages.
Ipswich may want him exposed to larger crowds, better facilities/coaches to either be ready to play for them or higher profile for resale.
May depend on how competitive they see Orient being, the exceptional development last season at least keeps Orient in the conversation.

If I were his parent club I wouldn’t be looking at the size of the club but what manager and style they play. They may want him to be tried in a different position than last year or play a different type of football to what he has been used to. Also wouldn’t be surprised if it was a short term loan either. If he only has one year on his contract it might be worth saving some money and putting in a cheeky bid in the Christmas window

Surely this would make us Favs, if a season loan is possible.
Unless Idris thinks he needs a new challenge?

Just supposing Idris said he didn't want to go to Charlton or Derby , then what ?

He would have a new challenge ... get LOFC into the Championship

Interesting as he's entering the final year of his deal - and he gets whatever he's on at Ipswich regardless of where he goes....
I wonder if Ipswich want a fee?
I'm guessing they are letting him out because they just paid £1.5m to Posh for Jack Taylor who's a CM.

I’m sure RW will try 100% to make this happen, if it is possible!

He's not coming here - it will be Derby or Wycombe

No complaints if he goes to Derby or Charlton, but I would like to think we could compete with Wycombe.

Ok, maybe now we are. Looking more likely we’ll be watching him on the first day of the season.

Isn't Galbraith Idris' replacement ?

Ling said in his recent interview he is working hard to get El Mizoni back so Ipswich know we want him back.
Also he lives in a property in Westfield (not sure if it's just a rental though).

Idris can play as a 4 or an 8, or as a pair of 4s, or even as a 10. We have 5 midfielders, we need 6, so there is still space in the squad.
The only question is if we've already done our budget in this area....
