Re: tuffers missing again ?
Why does there have to always be a Tuffers investigation when he decides to give it a rest for a few days??
Enjoy the silence - he’ll be back soon enough

I think he has banned again. I am sure I saw it somewhere. Seems some people get picked on when fairly inoffensive, more aggressive get away with near murder. I know he can be a pain, but he posts up a lot of Orient relevant stuff.

Did you ever consider the possibility that the guy has a life away from this board and is busy doing other stuff?

He is most likely having a break doing other things, nice summer weather and far better things to do than being stuck on the internet most of the day whilst typing messages to invisible people on internet forums.

I was on the thread where he got banned, and I don’t really understand what he got banned for. Not complaining though.

Re: tuffers missing again ?
Yeah i binned him, for his general behaviour of spoiling topics by being argumentative.
If you all feel that it harsh then perhaps I'll let him back on, he wont change his ways though.

Re: tuffers missing again ?
LSN :- I am ambivalent over this. Yes he is argumentative & difficult to follow his arguments. If you suspect that he has other user names I feel a ban is justified. He claims he has issues ( which he probably has, as most people would never play that card ). In his favour, he often posts useful links to Orient related stuff. You can also say CBE, Maxy & Spen 69 are belligerent too, but they never seem to get penalised & I reckon they all have multiple profiles.

When he is on this forum, I reckon he must post around 30% of all the comments and threads on here, obviously too much spare time on his hands !Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 1:56 pmI’m not complaining you did the right thing neckLong slender neck wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 1:49 pm Yeah i binned him, for his general behaviour of spoiling topics by being argumentative.

Wouldn’t expect him to change - why should he? If you don’t like what he says then ignore him. Plenty of others on here who need a rest - bring him back.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 1:49 pm Yeah i binned him, for his general behaviour of spoiling topics by being argumentative.

Re: tuffers missing again ?
I created the Argument thread for such a purpose. Think of it as a sin bin for the board if you will. You could only allow users to enter comments on this thread only for 1 week, 2 weeks etc etc.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 1:49 pm Yeah i binned him, for his general behaviour of spoiling topics by being argumentative.

Argumentative is fine (I hope) - it’s the bizarre non-sequiturs and lengthy detours as to why the non sequiturs somehow show how stupid his opponents are that are annoying.

But if you ain't the brightest button, responding to an argument isn't all that easy. You can say, if you ain't up to, why bother? But you are constantly challenging him, and that makes you come across as a bit of a bully. Peace & love I say ( you're 'aving a laugh )

It is, i just cant think of a better word.
Arguing is fine if you're being coherent and not just spamming people into submission with nonsense.

Do you not think you’re annoying? Not suggesting that you’re banned (necessarily) but a little bit of self awareness might be called for here.CEB wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 3:05 pmLong slender neck wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 1:49 pm Yeah i binned him, for his general behaviour of spoiling topics by being argumentative.

As long as a boarder is not personally disrespectful then they should be allowed to post. If I was an admin and ran it on the basis you just described then I'd have others banned in front of Tuffers.

Rubbish, he’s been disrespectful to me and others on here several times, you reap what you sow.
