Lots of talk on the other board about him possibly being Smyth's replacement , any thoughts on this people 🤔

He's a handful. Could be a huge success. It's not going to happen for him at Hibernian. RW has managed him before. Family home is in London.

Not scored a goal whilst playing in the Scottish pub league, but looked very able in Richie's Swindon side.

Sort of player thats loved by his own fans, hated by the oppo.

If he can't score in the pub league and has pissed off the Hibs fans in the process we should definitely sign him.

Everyone seems to get this wrong...mckirdy never played under wellens...wellens was 19/20 season and mckirdy was the 21/22 season. mckirdy has serious attitude problems and is in no way a player wellens would want around

Remember seeing him play for Carlisle here a few seasons ago, he stuck out as he was good on the ball and worked exceptionally hard. See him as a centre forward though, not a Smyth replacement. Question marks about his attitude but if Richie can sort him out could be a real rough diamond

Let’s face it. If he is the finished article and at the top of his game he’s not going to sign for us.

If however, he’s got some talent, wants to get his career back on track and receive some excellent coaching and management then maybe he could be a good signing. I seem to recall he banged in a few goals for Swindon and was a bit of a handful.

Can’t see it due to attitude and type of personality being very important to richie

Going by what Richie said my guess is Smyth's replacement will be Scott Banks on loan from Crystal Palace .

6 goals last year in League 2 suggests it's not.

I agree . Good player but if he's got an attitude problem there's no way Richie would want him at Orient .

Last time I saw him at Brizzie, he was totally up his own pipe, bemoaning every every mistake by his team mates and as for the ref … got subbed before getting a second yellow.

No; simply, no!

Even if he gets sent off 3 or 4 times he’ll still play more games than Smyth

I’d rather wait until if he becomes an Orient player before I watch that

And me just rumours at the moment I don’t mind a few loans but not 5 or six as if they get injured they will go back to there original club

Cheers, OMB. 'Might' have been an off-day for him, but certainly doesn't sound like a RW player on that basis..

I'd rather have an injured loanee who might go back to his club and off our hands, than one of our own injured being paid to do nothing.

I remember him scoring against Orient a couple of years ago. Thought he was an annoying little silly sausage who was great on the ball, then popped up with a goal.

If RW thinks he will improve the team, then I'll go with it, because Richie will only bring in good players
