"• Understanding and commitment to the Club’s Equality Policy and ability to promote anti-discriminatory practice."
Hope they dont appoint anyone inappropriate.

Is this the new, cool way of saying that they are actually stewards?

Nope, though if you're a social butterfly it could be a financially effective way to a season ticket if they let you to watch the game afterwards

As probably the only one on here capable of uniting the fans I reluctantly throw my hat in the ring. How much does it pay?

I think the new SLO needs to be more visible. Keren is also the Supporters Club Secretary & on match days she was in LOSC. New SLOs should be outside the ground helping new fans . Keren is known to all regulars but not visible to newcomers. To get to her fans have to presently get past the person on the door at LOSC. Not a dig at Keren but not sure how she did both roles on a match day. I would have thought the SLOS shoiuld be outside where the away fans get dropped to advise on what pubs , LOSC & restaurants are nearby etc & where to pick up tickets. They should also be located near the Reception to help newbies

Pay is linked to performance in role. There's one reward for the top performer, and another for the second best performer.
The top performer will receive a copy of Panda as reward for their services.

Don't need it. I've got a self renewing annual subscription.

Since my resignation, it seems the Club have decided to change the nature of this role and have started to offer a wage as no other mug would do it for free (like I did for nearly 10 years) probably!
This job description sounds more like a Here to Help glorified matchday steward rather than focal point person for supporters available at all times (not just matchdays), but as long as the Club are meeting the EFL standards and criteria then I wish them all the best.
I will still be able to be found on a match day in the Supporters Club concentrating on my other volunteer role there. I am not leaving the Club, only stepping down from one of the many volunteer roles I held.
Thanks to all who have sent me nice messages. As for those who know who they are, there is somewhere new focus on for their vitriol.

Not acceptable to get any abuse. Why would anyone abuse the SLO?

I'm guessing because she's a woman? There are a few unpleasant people in our fanbase unfortunately.
