Came across an oasis tribute band and reading the comments came across this video



Check the backdrop to the stage..anyone any clues on why this would be!

Hmmm....my guess is what with the strong link with Asia and dragons, the venue owners may have thought it good to use if they had seen it previously. Either that or the owners are O's fans....or maybe it's a bit of both!

What probably happened is the bar owner got a quote from a graphic designer, thought “f*** that” when it turned out that it would cost money to get a logo designed for a bar.
Googled “Orient logo” alongside other terms, and assumed this was a generic design that nobody would care about if stolen

Perhaps the owner of "The Tavern" is an expat Os supporter, there are some in Asia & the Far East. About 6-7 years ago, I found a signed photo of Scott McGleish hanging up, amongst other footballers photos, in a bar in Nakon Rataschima in Thailand and when I enquired, I was told a regular was an Os fan and he'd put it there. However, he was away working so I couldn't swap Os stories with him that night. The Os supporter fanbase is international.

I tell you what though, that Liam sounds surprisingly authentic. More so than any of the oasis tribute bands that gained any traction at all in the U.K.

Looking at the venues Instagram account there's nothing to suggest they are Orient fans. I suspect they have just ripped the crest.
