WHY HAVEN'T NEW CONTRACTS BEEN SIGNED YET?

I suspect their agents have been hawking them around to other clubs to see if they can get 'better' deals elsewhere.

I suppose that is an agents job, but there must be a time limit, and I'd have thought it is well past that now.

We need to know soon, so we can consider getting in other players if indeed they will be going elsewhere

I can’t see Richie giving them much beyond the 30th June as if anyone isn’t signing then we’d have around a month to look elsewhere.
I’m sure we already have replacements in mind if the worst comes to the worst.

Its quite worrying and sad. I guess there's no loyalty in football.

It is quite simply because they are all leaving and the Club is being sold to Ron Martin.

Think he’s referring to the ‘ Big Hitters’ like Vigs, Smyth and Beckles etc

OP is correct. Some of the players have had very attractive offers from elsewhere, and the ball is now in Orient's court.

At least the agents have done some actual work to earn their easy money.

It's what we do. Signings are always latish to very late, and it will never change.
I expect over the years we've lost one or two because we took too long to go for them definitely.
It's the Orient way

Any examples of players we lost for them not signing contracts offered , which were as you say were late Or are you confusing NEW SIGNINGS with those offered contracts who havent yet re-signed as LOFC players ?

If I'm wrong I'm wrong but I'm actually quite relaxed that our five remaining out of contract players will stay . My impression is they have all enjoyed their time at Orient . I reckon it would need to be a tremendous offer from a higher league club for them to leave . It's my guess the club will already know whether these players are staying or going . I know money talks but I'm still confident .

I expect over the years, we've signed a good player by waiting for him to become available, for example Idris, rather than rushing to sign the first player that knocks on the door. It's more important to make a good decision, rather than a quick one.

Rob Hunt signed for us very late in the close season last season, he was going to Crawley but signed for us instead. Rather wait and get the right player in than panicky signings early on.

I think Sargeant would have been offered a new contract if RW knew that Vigs was leaving.
