i guarantee we wont be the only ones looking at Alfie May. A 20 goal striker will be chased by many clubs including Wrexham, who will try to buy their way into league 1, just like they have into league 2
Id love May to come to us, I really would

Don’t forget FFP kicks in at L2 level. Not as easy to buy, as Salford have proved over the last few years.

Wrexham bought league 1 level players to win the national league. They’ll now start buying championship level players to win league 2.
I don’t think Alfie May is a Championship player. Agree that other clubs will be sniffing around though. He a good player at league 1 level.

They have another year before that kicks in , a reverse parachute payment if you will .

Makes sense I suppose but does encourage NL clubs to go mad money wise if they know they have another 12 months to sort themselves out.

I have said it on here before, Luke Armstrong would be a fantastic signing for us.
I also liked the look of Crewe’s left sided attacker yesterday, Aygei.

May's been a consistent goal scorer for a number of seasons - what I hoped Drinan would become and we saw glimpses from the DJ.

I would love to see Andy Cook of Bradford City here, but l expect he would cost too much money.

Still 3 games to go and enjoy
Pre-season speculation is going to be exciting as we all wait for the new signings to be announced.
Momentum is huge in football, and we have a solid defensive platform to build on for next season in L1.
Dan Happe (RW rates as best CD in L2) coming back is like a new signing and alongside Beckles, James, Sweeney and Hunt, with Vigs behind, is already a L1 defence.
After so many years of watching O’s knowing by Dec our season was over, it’s very exciting times and I cannot wait for next season in L1.
In RW we trust.
In Ling and the transfer committee we trust
In the players we trust
And in every O’s fans we trust

Not a chance. Wellens would never buy him. Can't do the required miles. He gave us the easiet time ever at Brisbane Road because he does not have the ability to close down the oppositions play.

Agyei is out of contract at the end of the season, so would be a great get on a free.

Alfie May is a Wellens-type player. Limited height, tireless worker and an eye for a goal. He’s idolised by Cheltenham fans.

He appears to be out of contract this summer with Cheltenham. Born in Gravesend and played for Millwall in his youth so local. Could be a good signing.
