Final home game idea

Would drinks on the pitch be legal after the final home game? Seeing as the game would be over, would it then be legal?
Club could make a few quid selling drinks.

probably not for at least an hour - or possibly 2 as its covered by the ban on alcohol

also It may not be permitted in alcohol licence. Depends where the licence says alcohol can be taken from bar

Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985 S9(4) -provides a designated sporting event lasts until an hour after game finishes

That relates to alcohol in private facilities - eg Private box, corporate hospitality only- the rest of ground is 2 hours before and 1 hour after

Irrespective of this - it depends whether club alcohol licence permits drink to be taken onto pitch. Some clubs are not permitted alcohol outside bar area

Lol at the idea that a “drink” can be illegal. Like yeah, a policeman is gonna get in his car, turn on the siren and be like “sir put down the drink, this is a football place!!!”

It’s actually “yuo’re” spot on, but the point is that nobody has ever been told to put a drink down when enjoying a celebratory drink in moderation. Heard of Glastonbury? Good luck telling a person not to drink there - and the rest!!!!!

Well, if you come first, then you would clearly win the top prize - a copy of the very latest, hot-off-the-press, edition of Panda.

Shall we all just BYOB and meet up in Coronation Gardens after the game?

How about a Mexican Mariachi band to play Tijuana Taxi and serenade the players onto the pitch! Supporters to wear Sombrero's......
