...... We could rubber stamp promotion, if either Bradford or Northampton draw or lose.
That would feel strange, but a possibility.
( I'd rather win though)
If we lose at Gillingham.......

Re: If we lose at Gillingham.......
The permutations tomorrow as far as I can see.
Orient Win
We are promoted.
We win the championship if Stevenage fail to win.
Orient Draw
We are promoted
We cannot seal the championship outright but it is down to goal difference if Northampton and Bradford fail to win and Stevenage lose
Orient Lose
We are promoted if either Bradford or Northampton fail to win
We cannot seal the championship that night.
I’m sure I’ve ballsed-up the maths somehow but this is how see it.

Re: If we lose at Gillingham.......
If we lose then if either one of them lose and the other wins then we are promoted otherwise 1 point will still be required.leebmx wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:16 pm The permutations tomorrow as far as I can see.

Why bother with the permutations, we ARE going up as Champions, whatever match it happens in I'm not bothered.

Re: If we lose at Gillingham.......
leebmx was correct, if we lose, Bradford and Northampton still have to win tonight to stop us being promoted. If either drops a point, they will not both be able to catch us, as they have to play each other, and cannot both then get the amount of points required.WickfordO wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 9:26 amIf we lose then if either one of them lose and the other wins then we are promoted otherwise 1 point will still be required.leebmx wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:16 pm The permutations tomorrow as far as I can see.

Re: If we lose at Gillingham.......
I remember April 1970 last game of the season when we had won the League - Gillingham beat us at home 1-2 but it didn't matter a truly great night! Happy days
