Best of the Rest - League Two this season

Post by ContrifibulatoryFred »

Morning all

I have not been to as many games as I would have liked this season due to various family concerns.

From those that I attended I would nominate Newport County striker Omar Bogle as the best opponent I have seen. We played Newport when the Os were in a rich vein of form especially Happe and Beckles at the back. I thought Bogle made our defence work extremely hard that day aplaying a big role in our eventual 2-1 defeat - which admittedly was somewhat against the run of play that day.

Of the rest, I thought Northampton Town midfield in the 0-0 home game when they only had 10 men were excellent

I would be interested to know what opposition players caught your eye this season whilst watching the Os
Perhaps a few choice transfer nuggets might get unearthed via your expert punditry

Cheers

As much as it hurts, that annoying little runt Danny Rose caused us lots of problems. Same team Carl Piergianni. Not many standout players this season which probably shows that it’s a relatively weak division this year or at least, teams are not producing.

Wilding - Stevenage

Wright - Stockpot

Kellor Dunn at Mansfield looks a handful.

Mcdonald the left winger for Hartlepool. Did well for walsall when he played for them v us too. From Slough too

Bogle the Newport forward I rate but RW would not sign him & sent him to the reserves at Donny when both were there. There was a fall out & he was transfer listed

really like Omari Patrick for Carlisle and Luke Armstrong at Harrogate, seems Drinan like but with more goals in him.

I've always thought Armstrong looked a player worthy of going up a division, works hard, 13 goals this season.

Thanks Omar for smashing the heck out of Northampton Town today 😬😬
