Very few if any are riding clean but for me it is still one of the best sporting events of the year. Drugs or no drugs these guys are incredible endurance athletes. It is one of the most open tours for years and the French have finally invested in the best chemists and doctors that money can buy!

You don’t have to win any stage to wear a jersey during or at the end of a race. The effort he’s putting in and is fresh as a daisy when he gets off the bike. He’s either throwing all his eggs into 1 basket now and he’ll burn out over the next week or he’ll carry this Landis-esq form into the rest of the tour.

Cycling has always had a problem and probably right now is the cleanest its been in 50 years. That's still not to say its clean - but is any sport clean? Football at the highest levels dances very close to the line, to say the least...

As for being a climber, didn't Alaphillipe win last years KOM on the TDF? I think he's in for a very good shout for the GC this year and it will be good for the sport should he win. Let's hope he's doing it cleanly.
