Sadly it seems to be an all too frequent occurrence these days of allegations resulting in police investigations. Not many of these cases seem to result in convictions ( this is my perception - thinking Johnny Evans -cleared on appeal, Mendy acquitted, Mason Greenwood not eventualy even charged
Obviously Adam Johnston & Bramble were convicted a few years ago))

I don't recall hearing so many allegations against footballers 30+ years ago.

Are players behaving worse / more reckless these days or are people making more allegations, perhaps seeking to cash in now players are super rich.

Whatever the reasoning, its not a good look for the beautiful game

Why is it sad that allegations are investigated?

Genuinely astounded that anyone could look at the Greenwood case, and use the phrase

“Not even charged”

to make the point that there are spurious allegations by greedy women, rather than significant societal and legal barriers to convicting obvious wrong’uns

I'm a c**t for daring to talk about issues.


After all by ignoring the topic of sexual allegations against footballers, the victims whether females or the footballers will be better served & things will improve.

A footballers life must be very different to 30 years ago.

Women now feel more able to speak out against abusers and that is a good thing.
