Stumbling over the line ..

Just back from the game ..

And where do we start, 70 mins in and we
look comfortable obviously needed the 2nd
goal ..
Fair play to Pool they’ve brought McDonald
on and he’s looked decent and we couldn’t
deal with him from they on in we looked like
“ rabbits in the highlights “ ..
Panic set in and we were definitely 2nd best
after the equaliser Hartlepool also hitting the
Crossbar after the equaliser..
2nd week running we’re unable to see out a
game from a winning/comfortable position..
Balance of play today it’s definitely a point
gained against a side heading towards the
National league..

As long as we get over the line I don’t care if we are dragged

One thing is clear to me we’re not going up as champions. Saturday is massive. We’ve got to keep as much distance as possible between us and the fourth placed team.

And how do we get that win when the idiot in charge keeps making the same stupid errors week in and week out. He keeps subbing players who should stay on because of their skill and ability and putting on deadwood that contributes absolutely nothing.

The same "idiot" who has got us to the top of the league we play in?

Hope you like eating humble pie mate. Your's is a big slice.

He's made some mistakes over the last few weeks, and admitted to some as well. He's not perfect I guess.

That so called idiot in charge has got us clear at the top with 9 games left FFS , how about getting behind Richie for a change ☹️

That ‘idiot in charge’ has had Orient clear at the top of the league for months on end. Have a bit of respect. f*cking state of you.

You have no idea at the fitness levels of the players he brings off.

Why are we not going up as champions?
You seriously think Carlisle will beat us on Sat on current form?

Win our game in hand and we are:
8 points clear of Northampton
7 points clear of Stevenage
11 points clear of Carlisle

With 9 games to go on Sat
We will beat Carlisle on Sat and that will be Carlisle out of the pic and automatic promotion almost in the bag.
Northampton v Stevenage 1 team will lose or we will gain 2 points on each team if its a draw.

I don’t get all this negativity

I hope I'm wrong but getting the feeling Northampton are going to sprint to the finish line and overtake us. They've eroded another point off our lead today.

The thing that grates is we've had it in our hands the last 4 games and I don't feel that the opposition have earnt any of their points, more we've given them away being so sloppy. Very frustrating.

I think there’s a few here who’ve got money on Orient to win the title and ain’t happy with just promotion. Fuc right off to them. Personally I’ve got both but don’t give a tosssywoss about the title.

I think there’s a few on here who are happy with just doing enough when there are others who really want to win the title. Unlike you I don’t have a problem with either view. I do think it says something about a persons life view though.

I’ve got no money on us, and while the title would be nice, automatic has always been the aim.

I’ve also had a suspicion for a while that history could repeat itself from the 2005-6 season, when we won League Two automatic ... as did Carlisle and Northampton, I certainly wouldn’t bet against it happening.

We've got 8 games to play in April, basically one every 4 days, IMO RW is already thinking about that and giving players a break when he thinks we should be able to see a game out. We'll get over the line, but I will say I get nervous at times.

Considering how we've been top of the league for so long this season, it would be a real shame to end the season on abit of a whimper and certainly won't help morale going into next season, whether in league 1 or 2.

Not at all.

The changes made on Saturday - Hunt and Carthorse on for Brown and Sweeney - were done because the full backs were struggling.

Smyth asked to come off, he felt something.

He probably felt his mobile ringing with West Brom offering him 10k a week.

The explanations above were all from Richie's post match interview. Just relaying the message that the changes were all for a purpose, not to rest players.

To answer you question , because Northampton are now motoring like a train and we're stumbling . As for Saturday I am concerned because our defence now looks shaky . One thing is for sure , I wouldn't play McCart again unless absolutely necessary. Ogie and Thompson are far better . As for your summary it's all if's , but's and maybe's. Please God you're right but at the moment i don't feel as confident as you .
