Looks great without a sponsor, but Orient will be the last team to drop the sponsors logo. If Orient could get another 4 or 5 sponsors logos on the shirt they would

It's their marketing strategy and its genius. They did the polar bear thing last summer for the world cup.

We could absolutely do this. We just need to replace the lost income by raising tickets prices.

It works if you’re big enough and media savvy enough to still get publicity from a non-logo’d shirt, as Paddy Power are.

And as are The S*n.

Will there be anything left after Baz, Beshetti, Kent have drained our club of its commerciality?

Aahh come on Max only Beshetti drained us, Baz kept us going in his own way, Kent is putting it back

No Baz drained us of the assets, the bricks and mortar of the club and made money from owning a lower league club and then sold us into oblivion.

We need as many sponsors as possible in order to hide that dreadful design.

Exactly. Hearn reminds me of Peter Minuit, who gave the Indians 24 guilders for the island of Manhattan.

Yeah, Baz gave us some trinkets whilst making huge money at our expense.

:D

No, Barry took our ground from us and built some easily demolishable metal sheds, reducing our capacity.

Which we don't own. So just to play that back...

Hearn sells the club's land for flats, in some cases via a dubious third party he was involved with, to finance the stands.

The West Stand had as much commercial space, if not more, as it does football seating. Hearn diverted the income from that to himself, starving the club of around £6 million from 2009-present (based on ground sale brochure published recently)

Hearn sells the ground to himself at 50% of the value, based on a future profit deal he sidesteps by transferring to his own family at cost. Just happened to also be around the same time the club was in danger of going bust. Convenient eh.

Hearn puts up two basic stands at either end, having sold more land to himself at a pittance and developed upwards, preventing any future expansion by the club.

Club then has to pay increasing rent on the ground forever onwards, as well as all the maintenance costs.

He took the family silver and loaned us back a few necklaces. Easy money for the Hearn family pension fund. Are those the actions of a "fan", don't make me laugh

Sadly the truth wont get in the way of the 'Barry was our saviour' mantra for some folks, no matter how inconvenient that truth is.

good points from gshaw above.

I despise Hearn, and have for a long time. The man has made millions from dodgy deals like outlined above

He wouldnt have become involved unless he knew he would make money from us, and when no more was to be made, he sold us to a scoundrel, who was about 7 days from destroying the club completely.

Hearn shouldnt be welcome at our ground, and the owners should be looking to move away, to a ground of our own as soon as.
