Six loan players

Seems that Walsall may have exceeded EFL number of permitted loans in their match day squad this afternoon which is five and face possible sanctions from the league.
Be interesting to see what happens.

Surely not a replay - that would be penalising us as much as them

A replay is a reward for them and a punishment for us, it can't be that!

As far as I can see Walsall have signed 6 players on loan - But only included 5 in their squad against us yesterday:
Matt Stevens - Forest Green
Joe Low - Bristol City
Jackson Smith - Wolves
Robbie Wilmott - Newport
Yan Songo'o - Bradford
Are all on loan there and were in the squad against us yesterday, their 6th loanee from Stoke is Douglas James-Taylor who wasn't in the squad yesterday, so wondering which players have led them to breaking any rules?

I suspect it will Be as Tuffers says a fine or at worst a polnts deduction. It won’t be replayed. I will keep an eye on it in the next few days.

It won't be replayed, the FA doesn't work like that. If what is said proves to be right, it will probably be a hefty fine.

He was apparently a late change for Jacob Maddox

Something has to happen otherwise what's the point of having this rule . If nothing happens then what's to stop any other club from doing the same thing .I still think the most likely outcome will be a two or three points deduction .

This tweet has been removed from the Walsall twitter site. Not sure how much evidence there is anywhere else that Douglas James-Taylor was on the bench.

We actually fielded the player in the game, this one was pulled before game started, the EFL will duck the issue, if it was t'other way round you can bet your bottom dollar the full might of they're power will descend on the most untrustworthy club throughout the EFL

I still can not get over the fact that we were denied the chance to eject Spurs from the Carabao.....

I remember us getting a three point deduction for playing Simon Clark when he was meant to be serving a one match ban.
