Should we become a Christian club?

With Moncur and a significant number of god botherers in the squad, there could be money to be made from this if we play up to it.

Would appeal internationally and we could pledge only to sign believers in future, possibly attracting star players.

We could also have church service at brisbane road on sundays and attract thousands.

Hell yeah! After all, most religions are all about making money. We could get our own God TV channel like those American evangelists. They make an extremely comfortable living from the feeble-minded. Hallelujah and praise The Lord!

As an idea, it's marginally less silly than having a kick off song, but it's still a no from me.

I’m all up for this but have some questions:

1, Could I still swear at awful refereeing?
2, Would there still be fixtures during the holidays?
3, Is it still permissible to blame God for us losing?
4, When you say Christian is the Catholic or CofE?

Appreciate answers to all of the above.

It’d only require a minor tweak to some of our delightful songs

Oh East London!
Is Wonderful!
Oh East London is wonderful!
It’s full of God, Jesus and Fanny!
Oh East London is wonderful!

Good too hear we have 9 Christian’s in the squad . Not sure who they are but obviously George , I’d guess Omar and Dan are also. It’s a good grounding despite what cynics May say. I like that George gives praise to Jesus in interviews and isn’t worried of any stick.

How do people who think God/Jesus/Allah are responsible for what they do on a football pitch square it off when people on the opposition do the exact same thing? Does God sit down before every game of football at any level and decide who's going to win as per his grand plan?

Been a while since I read any of the Bible but it seemed to tackle bigger topics than the League Two title race.

One like = one prayer, so it’s all about how many fans are Christians

East London is full of believers. This is a good opportunity. As a minimum we should look at hiring out brizzie on Sundays.

Have to get rid of Theo the mascot and his Mrs - they look far too much like Goblins.

Why Christians? What have you got against Satanists? They have much more fun than the God botherers.

God Gave Us Life
What did God give us, Neil?
God gave us life, Nigel
Sure did

A one two three four
John the Baptist knows the score

God gave us life
God gave us life
God gave us life
God gave us life

So that we could all play
With our mates in the street
With the ball that we bought
From the shop just last week

God gave us life
God gave us life
God gave us life
God gave us life

So that we could take sweets
Off strange men in big cars
And get driven to the woods
To stroke non-existent puppies

But he also gave us Una Stubbs
And he also gave us Little and Large
And he also gave us Keith Harris
And he also gave us Wendy Craig
And he also gave us Thora Hird
And he also gave us Matthew Kelly
And he also gave us Eartha Kitt
And he also gave us Lionel Blair

God gave us life
God gave us life
God gave us life
God gave us life
God gave us life – hallelujah
God gave us life – hallelujah
God gave us life – hallelujah
God gave us life – hallelujah
God gave us life – Pontius Pilate
God gave us life – Bobby Charlton
God gave us life – Gordon Jackson
God gave us life – have a banana

God gave us – life

Shame our Moderators aren't Christian. Maybe the standards of this Board would be raised. The club definitely needs God on it's side.

This has real potential. Maybe with some slight tweaks. How about "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost" as the trinity in the penultimate line?

Over the years I have found atheists far more insufferable and convinced they are right than any Christian I have met so although I struggle to have any religious leanings, it wouldn’t surprise me if there was something once we die albeit looking nothing like Mohammed or Jesus etc
