Not sure why he was named on the bench if he was not fit enough to play.

Smyth has only done some light training this week due to an injury (quad).

It’s really worrying that clearly the man isn’t fit, and yet we name him on the bench.

If a player isn’t fit enough to play, then he shouldn’t be in the match day squad.

So my Q is, why was Smyth on the bench, if RW had no intention of playing him?

The last ten seconds of RW interview he says “Listen, if we get through the next three days we’ve the squad we’ve got we’ll do better”…someone might be on their way

He could also mean if anybody comes in for any of our players but nobody has yet. Apart from El-Miz , Smyth or maybe Archibald , who do we have worth taking on current form.?

If the owners let Smyth go, right at the end of the transfer window too, I reckon Wellens will lose interest in the club and may even walk. I wouldn’t blame him either.

We’re more of a team than having lots of individuals that other clubs may want . Probably only Vigs or Smyth that any club would want right now. Everyone else has shown no quality form for weeks .

Smyth, Thompson and Sotiriou?
Nkrumah sale rumour has gone a bit quiet

Also a non-event in terms of squad impact but Byrne being on the bench in place of the usual Sargeant was a bit odd too?

With our history of poor transfer fees letting him go cheap would be bang on the money if you'll excuse the pun

Basically every player aside from Zakuani and Odubajo who were the only ones to have made a significant transfer fee. Sadly didn't get to see the benefit from either with the former's fee guzzled up by Hearn's lawyers with the OS debacle and the latter vanished into a black hole during the :clown takeover

One notable exception for Kyprianou which should've been reported to the police as daylight robbery, still can't fathom how we actually got money for him

So from Zakuani to Moses 2005 -2014 ?
Do all league 1 & 2 Players get sold cheap ?
