He hasnt played for 11½ months, so he will be really rusty.

It's a shame there's no reserve matches to gradually get him match fit. He will probably come on for last 10/12 mins

Cant understand why we are not in some sort of reserve league as it would help players get fit and stay fit. When a player who is normally on the bench is asked to start they tend to struggle

I totally agree or if that is not possible, some more "behind closed door friendlies", surely there is no substitute for a semi/competitive match.

That all depends on our next two or three results .

I'm pleased Lyden is playing . After being out for over a year he should be chomping at the Bit to show everybody what he can still do .

I assume he must be or Richie wouldn't be starting with him

Was like playing with 10 men, did he touch the ball?

Understandable considering he hasn’t played a competitive game for about a year. El-Miz will be back next week so in the meantime he has to work harder on his fitness

From all accounts, Clay played well once he came on, makes me wonder why a newly arrived player yet to get match fit got the nod over him. No good playing unfit players in key games. when you have competent fit players on the bench.

Richie thinks Lyden is more creative than a fully fit Clay ?

Sounds very similar to last week's appraisal Sid.

Well given Clay struggles to find a pass to a red shirt much of the time I'd say yes. Can't fault his workrate or commitment but not enough quality for L2 level, especially when aiming at top 3

Again you'd really want Lyden on the bench being introduced slowly but El Miz' couple of minutes of madness caused another unwanted change of personnel.

We need to get back to a few weeks of stability in the starting XI.

Will Sweeney and Duke McKenna ever get a start? When they've played they've showed energy and positivity, don't see why they don't get a chance.
