Is anybody else coming in?

Are we seriously done with transfer business for Jan?

Quite astonishing that we haven’t bought in a striker who can find the back of the net during this transfer window.

Isn’t there a week left or the window?

Which part of my comment suggested that I thought it was the final day of January?

Was it the bit where I asked if we had done with signing players? (Which was a question)

Or the bit where I pointed out that we haven’t signed a striker yet? (Which is a fact).

Which of those two statements contained the declaration that it is the 31st Jan?

RW repeatedly indicated a striker was coming in, if no one appears it would be odd and a bit troubling...

There is a whole week left.

We’ve only had 3 weeks to do all our business, it’s not like we could start planning in December or anything.

for £60k 2 weeks ago he’s hit the ground
running with 2 in 2 ..

It would be incredibly disappointing if nobody else comes in.

A kid on loan who has never played league football before, a CB on loan who is either cack or not match ready (based on his debut performance) and some bloke on a free who hasn’t played professional football for about a year.

Also worth noting that a striker we had on loan has now gone and yet to be replaced.

Very underwhelming.

A striker and a midfielder or winger or something has also gone back.

It would suggest to me that the cheque book has been closed .

Many other clubs, work out in November and December, who they're after, and on January 1st, they are ready to get business done. The early bird catches the worm and all that etc.
On the other hand, we seem to be way off the pace, and by the 23rd, of the 31 days allowed, we have a young boy who's never played a league game before he came here, a reject from that powerful team Rotherham, and a fella, who's had a potential career threatening injury, and hasnt kicked a ball in anger for almost 12 months. you couldnt make this sh!t up!
Same thing happened last year.....other teams done their homework, we dont, and make half a dozen terrible signings in the last week of the window....real panic buys if i ever saw one..Frank Nouble ffs.
Many of us think we missed out in 2013/14, because Hearn wouldnt bring anyone in, during January, and we missed out on auto promotion.
The more things change at Orient, the more they stay the same

Has a prolific, available and affordable striker been identified yet? Is their one at all?

Good player but would Tom Nicolas suit Richie's style of play ? Anyway , I completely agree we need a new striker .

Again Red we need a Goalscorer , strikers are ten a penny so to speak , finding a goal scorer is a different kettle of fish !

Fact is that we have stopped creating chances for the strikers that we do have, so it seems pointless bringing in new strikers that will suffer the same problem.
We already have good strikers but they need service and balls played up to them in the box or crosses from wide in Harry Smith’s case. Sometimes our midfield prefer to play the safe square or back pass to keep possession instead of playing forward and risking losing possession or creating something for one of our forwards.
Easy for fans like me, Tuffs’ et al to make these comments but we’re all showing a bit of concern that’s all .

Jack Marriott & Jordan Stockley are out there. I think the Scottish defender will be okay. Let us not wite off after a week. Harry Smith has replaced Wareham. I think Wareham was only brought in as Harry was leaving to go to Exeter

Wareham has left, Smith has come back. 4 strikers for a single slot would be a lot of budget for one position imo. Think the bigger problem is we aren't creating much at the moment, and a lot of that is down to a lack of creativity coming from the wings and Moncur. I'd rather we bring in a no.10/winger than an out and out striker.

Agree with that. Drinan, Kelman and now Smith would score enough goals to get us over the line in some of these games if they had some actual service, which hasn't been the case for a while.

Or is it a case of trying to get back to doing what we were doing earlier in the season. We have the same players, just need to get them playing again, and that is where RW will earn his money

Agree, it's creating chances we need to sort out. Richie has always said Kelman is an excellent finisher and given by the service he will do the job. The lad from Swindon could be the answer, lots of reports that he is a baller and a more than decent player. Got to get him match fit first though

Just a thought but what about if we switch to 4-4-2. I am not Ruel’s biggest fan but he is certainly better more advanced. Him and Smith could work. At least give it a go especially with El Miz out. Don’t think I can bare another week of sideways/backwards no shots and no goals. We need to change it up a bit.

We aren't doing much differently, teams have just adapted to our set up and we are struggling to respond, plus a boatload of injuries and suspensions. Burden of being the pace setters.

Think people are forgetting that throughout the season we have been edging a lot of games or relying upon absolute wonder strikes. There was always going to be a period where we stopped shading games.
