Of course we can still do it but its going to be a big week for the club's board . If they want promotion now is the time to splash the cash and get the job done .

We will not go up as champions. Stevenage are a better side than us as proved over the two games with them. If Salford and Carlisle win games in hand they are only 9 and 10 points behind plus can’t see Stockport losing many games to the end of the season. Same goes for Swindon. They thing that may ‘save’ us is Northampton stumbling so it potentially requires two of those teams to catch us rather than just one.

We need to hope that Swindon do us a favour tomorrow night against Fat Boy’s Stevenage.
My concern is not so much bringing in more and more strikers in , but for us to start creating chances for the ones that we have.
We have forgotten how to score goals and it is a massive gamble for the board to think that what we have will definitely get us promoted.
Pratley, El Miz, Clay, Brown are all good hard working players but aren’t prolific goalscorers and if Theo, Moncs’ and Smyth are struggling then something needs to change.
Of course we can and should get promoted this season but whatever strikers are playing they need some service and creativity.

We don’t want Swindon winning tmrw. A draw would be ok or Stevenage win. Third place is all that matters. Nothing else.

All draws ok - hoping for a raft of postponements though.

Stevenage are not a better side than us. We had three first choice defenders out, Theo carrying an injury, and Moncur out of sorts. With those guys in we are comfortably the better side.

As I said on another thread, our feb looks relatively easy on paper. Think we’ve got something like 6 games and should pick up 14 odd points I reckon. Which would mean 71 points and only 3,4 or possibly 5 wins out of the last 13 games would get us up.

We are in a crazy good position. This never happens to orient. Enjoy it.

Yes, I think that’s fair. Let’s see them lose three of their back four and see how they go.

Our injuries have hit us hard but they might experience a similar issue in the coming weeks/months.

Absolutely but for some the thought of fuxxing this up would be so devastating that it is only natural to be sharing their concerns now. I for one have total trust the management to get this right, however, until we get the next win, Orient is constantly on my mind to an unhealthy level.

I dont think we will go up as Champions, but we should still go up, because of where we are now.

However dont expect the owners to "splash the cash", that isnt going to happen. As I keep saying, Everythings done on the cheap here.

The important thing, is avoiding anymore injuries, which is out of our hands.

I think we will bring one or even two more players in, before the window closes, but they will be youngsters from Premier League teams, similar to Wareham, but hopefully better quality like we've had in the past

Fingers, and everything else crossed

We won’t go up as champions. We lost the title on Saturday.

That is unless Richie is given the support he needs and a first choice 9 and first choice 10 are brought into the squad this week.

Still think we’ll go up without those much needed additions, but not in 1st. Which I will happily take right now, being the unambitious Little Leyton Orient fan that I am.

I am not ready to give it up just yet. Omar and Tom James can be back Saturday. With Tommo also an option that looks like a settled and familiar back four to me (with Hunt).

We have not had a striker banging the goals in all season and we have got this far.

Plenty of twists and turns to come I reckon

Not sure Stevenage were that great at our place tbh

Exactly. They are hardly Barcelona. Plenty of football to be played.

We're hardly Barcelona either. But what they are is hard working - like really hard working, all of them, not just some of them - and organised.

As we have been for most of this season. It's been why we've performed as well as we have.

Not like they were. Their front 3/4 literally refused to let us play out from the back, forcing us to go long to 5 foot 6 Kelman and 5 foot 4 Smyth every time.

Nope. I'm making my judgement on watching the O's all season. You're making your judgement on 1/2 games watching Stevenage.

If we are going to be automatically promoted we need to get back to scoring goals. Whether that means getting a striker during the transfer window, or improving our midfield supply to the strikers or, our current squad of goal scorers recover confidence and ways to be fed opportunities.
