New formation?

Post by MalvoliO »

When things got sticky midway through our National League championship-winning season Justin Edinburgh changed our formation to a 3-5-2 shoring up the back with Ekpiteta, Coulson and Happe. And that change of formation helped us get over the line.

I feel the squad that we currently have lends itself well to this formation as well (taking into account the injuries to Happe, Ogie and Drinan).

Getting two players up top could lead to more goal-scoring chances, which we are not seeing too much of lately...

Vigoroux

James - right wing back where he excelled last season
Thompson - CB (on the right side)
Beckles - CB (middle)
McCart - CB (on the left side)
Archibald - left wing back (I prefer him as a winger, but would use him as a wing back in this formation)

Pratley - CDM (protecting the back line)
Brown - CDM

Moncur - attacking from central midfield

Smyth - striker
Smith - striker

Well the 4-3-3 is not producing the goals, so how do we get back to winning ways pronto Trump?

I think we will still win the league, but we need to address the lack of goals real soon.

We need to bring in a new 10 to create chances and a new 9 to finish them.
