Easy to get angry with todays

Performance but being a manager is so much about luck. As far as I know, Stevenage have no injured players and nobody missing with suspension. Half way through the season that’s almost unheard of. Our injuries and suspensions have killed us today. We are quite simply not the same team and not a huge amount we can do about it.

Stevenage went out soon as the window opened and got their business done. We didn't. That's not down to luck.

We have bought in two centre backs and a central midfield player. The only signing we haven’t made yet is a forward and we could have bought Messi and still lost today’s game. The loss is nothing to do with our forwards and all to do with missing 3 out of 4 first choice defenders.

Wellens fault setting up a " Big defensive unit " moving Smyth to play the moncur roll & putting Idris somewhere he can't play , Brown totally out of the game & 2 little short quick blokes up top who had nowhere to run ! Absolute Dog Sh!t shape against this lot .

It's not just today, it's one goal in six games now and that run started before the injuries and suspensions.

Zero shots on target today.

We have lacked creativity and really rely on individual brilliance of Smyth and Archibald too much.

Unless Richie changes things round in terms of freshening things up, I can't see much changing, hopefully he will.

That was just embarrassing. To be honest this performance was well over due. We have a lack of depth in the squad and it was clearer than ever today. We need decent defenders and a decent midfielder. The players brought in so far have been very underwhelming. A sun from Brighton, a reject from Rotherham and a player who has not had a club since last season.

BY my calculation, the next home game is when all those currently suspended (I include El Miz) will be back and it also gives another 2 weeks for Archibald to recover more and Drinan to recover. So, we could have a full squad by then. Gotta get a big result that day IMO.

We are still top of the league today, but may not be on Tuesday evening. It's been a good run.

Bye Bye fellow boarders, off now to drown my sorrows at a family parteeeee.

1 goal in 6 and no attackers signed
Wellens asking for players and not getting them on time
Nothing to do with recruitment though eh

Thompson was our best player last weekend and should have stayed as a CD with Turns.

We’ve signed a kid on loan who has never played league football before and some bloke who hasn’t played professional football for a year.

These are not the kind of singings a league winning club should be making.

You can’t blame the manager or the board for all the red cards and injuries they’ve had, the players have to take the blame for that, but what you can blame them for is bringing in inexperienced crap that have had no football league experience this season and not bringing in a quality striker that they desperately need send Kilman back and bring in a quality striker. Sam Hoskins would be ideal please.🙊

Why blame 3 new players for 1 game by 1 & 2 games by another . RW overthought it simple as that .

I agree, it’s bloomin frustrating, I am just making the point that if we had no injuries or suspensions (like Stevenage) we wouldn’t have had to bring in new defenders(and play them today) + we would have had the money to sign a quality forward and probably moved a lot quicker to get that position filled. Again, it’s injures and suspensions that knock into everything, our ability to put out a good side and our desperation in the transfer mkt.none of those problems Stevenage have. I agree, todays line up was bizarre however, brown should have started right back and Tommo in the middle.

I agree the shape didn’t work today. I am also concerned our replacement cb’s are not tall enough but time will tell.

Orient have barely conceded but that's because they play cautious, how often do they actually create chances, Wellens needs to open up a bit more and accept they might concede a goal here and there but you need to score to win games

As Richie said you're going to get injuries and suspensions, it's what happens in a season and especially around December / January time.

That's why you strengthen in January to see you through to end of the season. Leaving it until last week of Jan to bolster the attacking options when we were crying out for fresh legs there is just crazy.

We have been very negative last 6-7 games lack of attacking play is costing us. Manager needs to get the team to push forward quicker and more often. Tippy Tappy from the keeper rolling it out to defenders needs to change. Remember Slade went down that route and it cost us points. Teams just push us back and place us under pressure. Plan B please RW. All teams dont just watch us playing side way passing and go " Well down the Orient" Can't stand Evans but got to admit his a good lower league manager. Will get them up and ask for a big pay rise and leave as usual 💰💰💰😅

At least James and Beckles will be back next week and Moncur and Archibald have to start .

That's down to our bullshit transfer process . It cost us last January and could cost us again this January .

weve strgthened 3 in since last ffriday didnt do us any good . Tinkering with midfield shape & not nullyfying opponents is what is costing us !
