Justin’s memorial service

Post by ValJac »

Did anyone else enter the ballot for this? I don’t know anyone who was successful in being able to go, and on Twitter the JE3 Foundation have tweeted the address and time of it and invited all?

From the clubs twitter page;

Any supporter who wants to attend Tuesday's memorial for Justin Edinburgh, who hasn't been successful in attaining a seat inside the cathedral, is welcome to follow proceedings outside the cathedral and pay their respects.

Just back from Chelmsford Cathedral and what was a beautifully staged memorial service to Justin. Guests included Glenn Hoddle, Teddy Sheingham, Paul Allen (who spoke on behalf of Spurs) Shaun Derry (spoke on behalf of Justins Friends in football) also saw Ian Hendon, Gary Hill, John Still and Graham Alexander amongst others.

Originally didn't get a place in the ballot but they let in about 50 fans just before the start. Charlie Edinburghs and Justin's brother Jason gave lovely speeches as did an emotional Martin Ling and Jobi McAnuff.

All in all a great tribute to a great man topped of by a fantastic contribution from the London gospel community singers.
