After the worldwide slowdown in car sales especially after the huge move away from diesel car's, a bit of good news for the Uk car industry.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is investing hundreds of millions of pounds to build a range of electric vehicles at its Castle Bromwich plant in Birmingham.
Initially the plant will produce an electric version of the Jaguar XJ.
"The future of mobility is electric and, as a visionary British company, we are committed to making our next generation of zero-emission vehicles in the UK," said Prof Ralf Speth, JLR's chief executive.

Neat PR.
Last time I looked JLR was 100% owned by Tata, an Indian company, so not British at all. Why aren't the GAmmons all over this?

We got landed with subsidising Scotland after they BEGGED to join the union after the disastrous Darien Scheme, to establish a Scottish colony in Panama. Poorly planned, the venture ended early in 1700 with significant loss of life and financial ruin for the Kingdom of Scotland. Scottish Parliament MPs voted to agree the Union and on 16 January 1707 the Act of Union was signed. The Act came into effect on May 1st 1707; the Scottish Parliament was dissolved and England and Scotland combined to work in a political union. Scotland kept its independence with respect to its legal and religious systems, but coinage, taxation, sovereignty, trade, parliament and flag became one.

Even that good old left wing newspaper, ''The Guardian' ' agrees that Scotland is a financial basket case !!
Scotland cuts its deficit, but is still outspending the UK
Latest data shows gap between income and spending is four times as much as UK as a whole.

The Guardian left-wing
Think that its safe to say that the Guardian is a newspaper with left wing views. The Guardian is only centrist if you are so far to the left, that Ed Miliband is considered conservative. Basically, the Guardian is to the left, what the Daily Mail is to the right, which makes it rabidly partisan by definition. Even the Washingon Post is a much more centrist paper than the Guardian, and they are hardly far-right fascists are they ?
Of course for a person like yourself who claims to be of ultra left wing views, a left wing view is different to what others might see it to be !!
