Interesting case. Assuming she is guilty, I wonder what made her do it?

Post reported to the CPS and trial judge.
Anybody know if you can get the jail for contempt of court. It would be an interesting thing to know.

Interesting is a strange word. I read one article about a tiny part of it and my stomach churned. It’s abhorrent.

It's incredible that people can get away with things for so long.

If it wasnt interesting it wouldn't be front page news.
Would like to know why she did it, how she got away with it for so long, why she wasnt stopped sooner and her defence if she has one.

Think before you can get answers to that, you need to find out if she did it

Some weird posts on this thread.
It’s properly horrible, this case. It’s about as grotesque an abuse of trust and responsibility imaginable

Just read up on this as hadn't heard about it. It's horrific. As CEB says, the abuse of her position is as bad as it gets.

She has been found guilty then?
Why are we bothering with a trial

The “presumption of innocence” is a principle that means that in building a case, it needs to be built entirely from a starting point that the accused is innocent.
It does not mean that people not involved in the case are obliged to think of any accused person as being innocent.

It would be a cracking twist if it turned out she was innocent all along.

And it was one of the babies that did it?

Is it a Black Comedy set in 2002 starring David Ternent ?

The institutional failings in this case are pretty worrying too. The fact that staff were making connections but didn’t feel able to immediately address their suspicions is concerning

Why would she plead not guilty then?
It’s difficult for me to agree with spen666, but I do.
Amazing how people are pre judged!

I’m going to stick my neck out here and say that I suspect she might have some issues.

Maybe she's pleading not guilty to murder because she or her legal team think she's not guilty by way of insanity - I've not seen much of any defence argument.

If child K was number 11 why did this suspicious registrar not report this?
Apparently there were 17 cases in question, that adds another 6 cases after this incident! Strange!

Could be because the trial has been mostly opening evidence for the prosecution!
