being a pensioner budgets mean nothing to me.
my son in law is on 45% tax so he gets a few bob.
there must be many on here who get virtually zilch.
1% of tax dose not amount to much extra money in your pockets.
food banks are rocketing thieving will surly rise, think we need
a big change in government lets give some other party a try they cant be any worse.

And Liz Truss killed the Queen. If she manages to kill Sterling too, her first few weeks as PM will certainly go down in history.

Nothing mini about this. They’ve torn up the rule book.

It's weird isn't it. Their rule book delivers for them already but the relentless need for capital to increase the diminishing rate of return leads to kamikwasi economics.
Buckle up folks.theres a storm ahead.

I'm economically inactive according to the latest jargon or retired early on a company pension.
Dreadful for those working on a low wage and not qualifying for benefits.

I've never been deeply motivated by economics but this move by Truss and Co looks to be the riskiest set of ideas l've ever seen. l hope they know what they're doing.

It’s not risky. There’s no gamble. How is reducing the top tax rate from 45% to 40%, or removing the cap on bankers bonuses, or letting energy companies off the hook, or propping up a broken housing market, going to save the economy?
They’re out of ideas. They know the game is up. This is end of days stuff.

Not even personal economics? What risks are you most worried about?

Its only the start of "The Project". The shapeshifter that is capitalism is changing again but for some the mist hasn't cleared enough to fully identify the monster it has become.

f*** it up so much that when Labour does eventually replace them, they haven’t got a chance of clearing it up.

Don't see why not. They are currently hell bent on forging an alliance with the sensible capitalists to rescue the old model. Pretty soon they will be calling for the outsourcing of the economy to Goldman Sachs.

Is being governed badly down to Brexit ?
Not necessarily, but Brexit is definitely down to bad government.

Liz Truss is a puppet, talks like one, got the brain of one and have you seen her when she walks on stage…
She walks like a Thunderbird puppet
We have a population of 68m people in Uk and out of that 68m, only 135k voted Truss in.
Give us a General Election so everyone can vote her and the Conservative C@#€s out!!

This country has been set on a course of destruction. Apart from the Mail & Express, everyone knows it.
This debate, run by the Tory supporting Spectator, is a great example. Their somber faces and mood, along with their conclusions, can't hide their concern. These are the pundits who are normally 100% behind the Tories

The profits the energy companies are making are absence. All while some people are having to choose between heating and eating. I agree with Labour there should be a windfall tax on these companies. I think they have just handed Labour the next election.
