We are a very placid lot!

This thread is an attempt to see what you lot think. Try & be as neutral as possible. For 5-6 weeks now, we have been Leaderless. Boris refused to go quietly, unless he got fully paid up Summer hols ( He's probably booking overtime too. ) No stand-in. The " race " to replace him is a joke & is a foregone conclusion. But we still have to wait weeks before he is usurped by a female Boris clone. Inflation is gaining momentum. Energy prices are zooming whilst the fat cats are making ridiculous profits. There are more & more strikes and threats of strikes. The NHS is crumbling. The policy of forcibly removing asylum seekers is being shown for what a useless & petty scheme it is. The Royal Navy have had enough of trying to stop them coming over. The service industry is on it's knees because we ain't got no Europeans to help us out. The Scots are being ignored, hoping they will go away ( which they probably will, but not in the way the Tories hope.) In warmer climes the natives would be very restless & howling for blood. There would be a hint of Revolution in the air. But even Sir Keir has had what he reckons was a well deserved holiday. Now he's back. He still ain't saying very much. Us Remainers even dare to put our heads above the parapets, to tell the Brexiters " you really gone & done it this time ".
Why ain't there rioting in the streets, while the weather is decent? Is everyone waiting for Winter?

You said it. We are placid to the point of comatose.
The elites can't believe their luck. They're proper taking the piss, and still the prols do nothing.
Is this was France, there would have been rioting in the street for weeks.
Nothing will happen here summer or winter... We're British

There are a lot of similarities with 1978/79, 1997 and 2010 when a governing party has completly lost the plot and is marking time until the next general election when they get booted out.
The only problem is in this case there is no obvious change chomping at the bit with alternative ideas.
I suspect the next election will result in a hung parliament, with Labour being the biggest party, and having to get into bed with the SNP who will want a freedom vote, or Lib Dems who will want a rejoin EC vote.
Rioting will wait for the winter when will will need to burn buildings just to keep warm.
