If Richie thinks he’s good enough then I’m happy. Just hope we haven’t had to settle but if he’s in the building then good news and Richie can focus on winning games of football rather than transfer dealings

It will take the season to get the deal over the line
Fingers crossed we can get the deal done so he can go straight into the squad for Sat?

Did a bit of research when we were first linked and I think it could be a good one for us. Ipswich fans generally complimentary but not quite there in the pecking order for them.

36 appearances over the last 4 years does not read well.Apparently been injured with hamstring injury over the last 2 years. That’s why we are after him

it just wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t sign a crock!

It’s bonkers that we’re scouring around for a cheap, inexperienced cdm when we had a cheap, inexperienced cdm on our books who we knew all about….

But we sold him to help finance the purchase of Moncur . Actually, I’d rather we had Freddie Moncur than Kyprianou

That’s ridiculous.
We shouldn’t be wasting funds paying transfer fees.

You do realise he was 17 four years ago? Were you expecting 46 games a season?
He’s been injured yes but Ipswich fans like him and clearly he has some quality. If we get him in and he can stay fit, it could be a winner.
Any signing is a gamble. You could bring someone in that’s never had a bad injury before and they could pull up in the first game. Paul Smyth has had injuries over the past few years and we took a gamble on him. Would you rather we send him off elsewhere?

Is he the 'out-and-out holding midfielder' that RW says he wants?

Yes to a certain extent. But you look to reduce that risk by being in players who are known, or experienced, with a track history.
Flogging off Hector, when we knew exactly what we were getting with him, only to replace him with another inexperienced untested kid is bonkers.

Yes, I was hoping he'd be signed up by now to play against Mansfield tomorrow . Who knows , it still might happen today .

Maybe but like everything else its down to money . I think El Mizouni would be a good signing if we got him .

We didn’t want to lose Hector. Peterborough met his buyout clause and so we had no alternative to sell him, as he wanted to sign for them,
