My old Dad has a full bronze collection from the 1970 World Cup
Just looked on eBay one going for £250

Of course its one thing to be on Ebay for £250, its another thing someone actually paying that sum of money to buy it !
I have seen many things on Ebay going for crazy prices and at the same time, same items for far lower and more sensible prices.
Anyway, hope that if your father does want to sell his collection on Ebay, that it fetches a good price.

To be fair, the collection you picked out above has a nice original cover that the £7.50 collection did not have, but point proved that this collection can be purchased on Ebay from £7.50 upwards.

I have just paid £32+p&p for a rare cd. It might sound dear but the cheapest price on Amazonis £169.

It’s a special limited edition one given to Esso management back in the day so a bit more classy than the tin ones swapped for your 4 star

The ones you got free with petrol were very light so I reckon they were aluminium. I am sure I had the complete set and the coins all slotted into holes in a special board.
