Marcus Rashford
Has signed a new £300k per week contact. The game has finally gone mad, he ain't worth it. 45 goals in 170 appearances is not good enough for a main striker.
I hope more misery is applied to Manure if they want to pay such obscene amounts of money on players who are quite frankly average.
It won't belong before the Premier League implodes.
What a crock of sh*t.

Re: Marcus Rashford
While companies like Sky and BT are willing to bid obscene amounts of money to show live Premiership and European matches, players will be able to demand obscene wages.

Re: Marcus Rashford
27 goals in 111 games for United
1 in 4 as a 21 year old.
The kid has got bags of potential & i reckon he'll break Rooneys England goals record as long as he stays healthy.

Re: Marcus Rashford
Wow I can't believe that you believe what you've posted. He'd have to play over 200 games for England to break Rooney's record, it ain't going to happen. Rashford is over rated.
Now that Hubert that Spurs have up front will break Rooney's record.

Re: Marcus Rashford
You do know Rashford had scored more.premier league goals at 20 than Harry kane had dont you Thor .
Kane started under pocc in 2014 when kane was 20 .
His 1st season goal record shot him up the ladder of goalscoring.
Rashford will score plenty of goals for manure .
If you can not see that then i seriously question your footballing knowledge.

Re: Marcus Rashford
I think Thor is just p155ed off that Rashford will have more multiples of millions by the age of 24 than , he has throughout his lifetime.
Good luck to him i say.
If the game is producing that kind of wealth good luck to them.
Makes me chuckle, that in comparison to what is paid to MLB NFL or NBA players that people get so offended.

Re: Marcus Rashford
Got the potential certainly, but seems as interested in insta, 'rims' for his 'rides', and bling as he does in football.
For that reason, will never truly hit the heights imo.

Aside from Messi and Ronaldo who would probably sell enough Barca and Juve shirts to subsidize their wages, no player can be worth it. I reckon Son of Spurs is similar. Probably sell millions of spurs shirts in Korea with his name on.
The TV money is allowing the premier league clubs to spend so much on wages, but given how difficult it was to shift a couple of the packages last time around, I suspect some of the big boys will get a shock in 3 or 4 years time.

Tuffers you will never see me either jealous or envious of anybody, I’m proud when people achieve things in life.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 7:40 pmI think Thor is just p155ed off that Rashford will have more muluples of millions by the age of 24 than , he has throughout his lifetime.

My comment was not based on his salary, but as a value against what he is, an average player, I understand about market value etc. But football is broken if players like him are earning that sort of money. Just how is anyone in the leagues below going to compete when that sort of salary is attainable for an average player?
Figures were released recently about debt and losses in the championship, it’s not sustainable in the long term and I really fear for the game in this country with wages being handed out like they are. Ronaldo, Messi are worth that from what they bring in sponsorship, rights etc. Rashford! Do me a favour.
I read a report a few months back on tv rights and it summised that the uk rights in the next tender will be down from the current deal however, the loss will be offset against growth in foreign rights. What happens when that bottoms out as well? The game is in trouble.
So now we have wages like that being handed out, the next player says I want some, and on and on it goes. Its not sustainable for the game in the long term.

Again crazy he is not worth it, Arsenal didn’t want to lose him for free, now they want to sell him they can’t as no one will pick up his salary. Like I said it’s crazy.RientO wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:28 pmIf Ozil is worth £350k/week, so is Rashford...Thor wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 3:41 pm Has signed a new £300k per week contact. Compare kane & Rashford for a minute at there respective ages
Kane premier league debut at 19
Rashford 17
Kane premier league apps & goals before 20
14 apps 4 goals
Rashford league apps & goals before 20
78 apps 17 goals.
Rashford still has 4 years to get up to kanes level,
It is unlikely he will , but at relative ages they werent that far apart.

Re: Marcus Rashford
Rashford isn’t on 300k a week. He’s not worth half of that. The problem is, he’s young, English and wanted by other teams. United were over a barrel.
He’s still young and can still develop his finishing and decision making.

Re: Marcus Rashford
Looks like a new scapegoat is needed now that Sterling has proven himself to be world class. Wonder what they have in common..
Maybe Sanchez, who earns even more and doesn’t even play, should get a thread instead.

Re: Marcus Rashford
Sanchez another complete waste of time let alone money. Utd are idiots of the highest order paying out such ridiculous sums of money to players who quite frankly are not worth it.
Kane is on decent money I think only 200k a week which he signed last year. Now hes worth it as he guarantees you 30 goals a season. Rashford and Sanchez couldn’t score 30 between then in a season. Where’s the value for money? Spurs have it.

Re: Marcus Rashford
It IS £200,000 a week, with the extra money for meeting targets. If it is like Sanchez's deal where he gets a £75,000 bonus for starting games! Then he should be able to get the extra money. You would think the £200,000 alone should be enough and there should be no need for a bonus for doing your job.

Re: Marcus Rashford
Sanchez is a very good player but sulked at Man Utd when Mourinho told him how he wanted him to play. I am not saying that he is worth 500k a week because he is not. He has now gone into a permanent sulk and needs to be shipped out to somewhere else.Thor wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 7:24 am Sanchez another complete waste of time let alone money.
