The video made makes it look & sound far to powerful & advanced to be anything other than highest spec weaponry.

Actually, that number is not verified yet. Given the scale of misinformation from Hamas on this I think we need to treat everything as potentially untrue.

Here's the first image released of the hospital site. A typical Israeli rocket contains a 1,000lb payload of explosives. It's about the size and weight of a Fiat Panda. If such a rocket had hit this site there'd be nothing left but rubble and a massive crater. You certainly would not be making out individual vehicles and all the surrounding buildings would be f*cked too.

It's increasingly looking like a Hamas f*ck up, and then followed it up with a misinformation campaign.

Where did you get ‘both sides are complicit from ?’ Israel were attacked by terrorists Paragliding into a democrat sovereign state, indiscriminately murdering innocent citizens and taking hostages.

People have lost their lives, each one a tragedy. What killed them won't make it any easier for those that are suffering.

For what it's worth I don't see this latest episode, in the ongoing horror that has enveloped the region since Britain and others placed the pieces on the board and sodded off, ending without Iran getting involved officially.

Israel has shot & killed palestinians for years. 11,500 since 2000 ad. why would UNHRC find them guilty of human rights brreeches since it formed in 2006 ?

Has nothing to do with Hamas. Israel claims islamic jihad, others say Israel. neither is Hamas.

The pace and eagerness at which many public commentators and media outlets were willing to either assign or suggest blame for this incident needs to be reflected on. A lot of people went full-on "Israeli war crime catastrophising" mode without any hesitation.

This will have consequences too and, as we've seen, will have reinforced the sense of justification for increased violence throughout the region.

Yes, Hamas terrorists triggered this latest blockbath. The murdering of innocent citizens is not a new development though, although the horrendous actions of Hamas on 7th October was sickening. Now we have more and more citizens being killed, that can't be right and won't lead to peace. I have no answer to how this is resolved but others who can should at least try to ease the suffering

His post has received 6.9million views. Most of those people will now firmly believe two points which are looking increasingly like they are simply untrue. 1) that it was an Israeli airstrike and 2) that "more than 500 people - patients, doctors & those sheltering - have been killed"

Deeply irresponsible to do this until it is verified, and so unlike him to leap to apportion blame without all the evidence.

Hmmmm. Hopefully lessons will be learnt. This incident is going to be thrown back in the faces of anyone supporting any further Hamas or Palestinian claims.

Again, social media and the reactions (including various countries) demonstrate how so many are just taking a side and then spending as long as possible trying to make evidence fit their own narrative.

Not sure what the Jam man is playing at with his tweet - he should know better, all he had to do was put the word "reported" into it. That being said, a lot of the early traction towards this being an Israeli attack stems from Hananya Naftali's early tweet claiming Israeli responsibility for the hospital attack. Likewise, the IDF's got a long history of disinformation.....

I've no idea who's responsible for this incident. All I know is a lot of people died sheltering in what they thought was a safe place. There needs to be a ceasefire as soon as possible and aid allowed to enter Gaza.

Corbyn’s tweet is still up and no clarification, withdrawing or attempting to say “aah, it’s not as clear as I thought”

He must have a match to referee or something?

Admin, do you ever think that perhaps the number of things about which Corbyn should have known better, and the causes on which he takes stances about which he should have known better, suggest that perhaps he actually has a problematic view on certain issues?

Of course. Your last para seems to indicate that I'm some sort of Corbyn fan-boy? Apologies if I'm misunderstanding.

You'll find posts of mine on here that have either previously questioned Corbyn's actions or been critical of him for other things - likewise if there's things I supported, I'd have given credit for them. I don't buy into cult politics - I was fairly supportive of him (and voted for him twice as LP Leader) but more supportive of his socialist policies than the man himself. The alternatives on offer were austerity in varying degrees.

As time passes, you tend to reflect on things differently. As things are now, I think he's pretty irrelevant politically and with hindsight should've stood down after the '17 election having re-established the political left and passed the baton onto another SCG member with less baggage for the media to aim at. What he is now is a ridiculously deity figure for many with questionable beliefs (particularly on Israel / Palestine / Hamas).

BBC and co, which I myself and the world rely on to be accurate- (I am not a BBC hater) were too quick to blame Israel last night, the result is "Mass protests broke out in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey and the West Bank after an explosion at al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital left hundreds dead" (reported by The Guardian).

You'd think a news team that are 'oh careful we dont label Hamas as terrorists' could be more careful in their reporting. Correcting it later isnt good enough.
