So that is an intended private prosecution?
Starmer will know the level and quality of the evidence required so I don’t think he will as yet be quaking in his boots but this stance he is taking will certainly make a dent in his reputation.
I personally feel that it is a bit premature citing war crimes at this stage . It will be an interesting outcome.
This war crimey enough for you?

I am not qualified to say whether something is a war crime. What qualifications do you have to assert they are? People were accusing Blair of war crimes during the Gulf War and nothing resulted in anything. Now Blair is advising Starmer, potentially the next PM. Starmer is backing Israel to defend themselves. He does say within international laws but ultimately attacks Hamas like everyone else who are not on the bandwagon of blaming the victims here who were minding their own business at a music festival .

OSINT accounts are on the case. Early indications are that Israeli rocket most likely explanation. It won't take too long to verify. Plus all the accounts trying to say otherwise are very biased.

Israel foreign ministry now warning Israelis to leave Turkey immediately.
Palestinian leader has cancelled scheduled meeting with Biden.
Crowds beginning to gather outside Israeli embassy in Jordan.

This is not going to end well. Hamas & The Netanyahu Government are not going to stop killing. Hezbollah are now going to get more involved and Iran is just waiting, hungry to get involved. Biden going to the region tomorrow could be a waste of time at the very least.

In light of this, Biden meeting with Netanyahu tomorrow could make things even worse.

Hospital strike- some tweets saying it was a stray hamas rocket.
Guess it could be a while before any facts emerge.
Who is tweeting that?

I'm seeing video clips suggesting things are beginning to properly kick off throughout the West Bank.
Crowds forming outside Israeli embassies in several countries now, trying to force their way in.
Israeli citizens now also being advised to leave Morocco, as well as Turkey.
Looks like it's going to be a long night.

The Arab world will not believe that it wasn't an IDF strike. The IDF has hit numerous soft targets over the past week.
The only thing Netanyahu should do is put a pause to the bombing, but I won't hold my breath

The Israel Defense Forces have posted on X, formerly Twitter, that they believe the strike against the Al Ahli hospital was from a rocket barrage fired by Palestinian militants.
The IDF post in full is:
Quote Message: An analysis of IDF operational systems indicates that a barrage of rockets was fired by terrorists in Gaza, passing in close proximity to the Al Ahli hospital in Gaza at the time it was hit. Intelligence from multiple sources we have in our hands indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch which hit the hospital in Gaza."

Yeah, misinformation is off the scale again. I'll keep an open mind but sources that have proven reliable during the Russian invasian are betting on it being an Israeli strike. The blast strength alone is more than what a Hamas rocket payload can deliver. And the lack of any secondary blasts makes it very unlikely that a munitions dump was hit.
My money is on Israel f*cking up biggley here.

Is there a chance it was Israel but Hamas making it a target by using the hospital as a base? Not justifying it, of course. You do wonder how and why Israel could be so stupid and callous if it was them.

Possible, but if that were the case then I'd have expected Israel to have been better prepared for the PR fallout. They're clearly not, and are scrambling around for explanations.
Another alternative possibility is that it could be a deliberate explosion caused by Hamas/Iran to further splinter international support for Israel. But we're now venturing into conspiracy theories.
We'll find out for certain soon enough. But, regardless of the cause, it looks like the reactions will soon overtake this incident anyway.

For example, the Israeli embassy in Jordan has now been stormed by protesters and set on fire.

Emerging evidence and OSINT analysis suggests that it may NOT have been an Israeli strike. The lack of a crater and little damage to surrounding buildings supports this theory.
The next most likely explanation is that a Hamas rocket was intercepted and knocked out of the sky. Despite being damaged, it retained its payload and fell into the hospital courtyard which was packed with civilians taking shelter.
Still to be 100% verified, but worth noting that it's no longer the Israeli-biased sources claiming the Hamas rocket theory as now most feasible.

Over 500 people lost there lives. Both sides are complicit in this conflict and played a part in their deaths. They have killed many already and will continue to do so. The only sure thing we know is that it will lead to an escalation in the violence.
