Re: Coronavirus
In a pretty similar boat and am doing the full 10 days as I only stopped being symptomatic 6-7 days in.
Has completely knocked me on my arse, all the talk of Omicron being mild for jabbed people made me think it was going to be annoying doddle. Have never had a cold or flu bug still doing damage a week in and the complete loss of taste and smell was very unpleasant.
Baffling that they are getting rid of lateral flow tests, really don't understand why you wouldn't want people being aware of whether they have this virus.

In general with any illness you are generally only infectious the first couple of days when you have symptoms. So probably just dead virus that your body is clearing out, not infectious.
(I know legally I can go out but...)

Re: Coronavirus
I remember Chris Witty saying lfts are a good indicator of if you are infectious
It can take 10-14 days to turn negative

Re: Coronavirus
Depends on how the HK authorities define 'cases' I suppose, but however they do it that still seems like a very high fatality rate, and that graph suggests that something is up.

Re: Coronavirus
The way deaths are reported ( some are not reported on the actual day) means that a better guide is to look at 7 day average which 247. Still too many, but with reported cases and hospitalisations going down hopefully deaths will follow
