Earlier on in this thread I and subsequently I said I do not want anyone killed especially innocent civilians.

She was on Sky News earlier denying that any humanitarian crisis was unfolding. I mean, I understand that there are different lenses through which anyone can view this conflict but, even if your largely sympathetic to the Israeli position, it's still possible to recognise the toll on civilians.

To be fair, LCL has probably achieved what he wanted, to stop any intelligent discussion on this thread. He's not half as daft as he pretends to be.

Here's (IMO) a relatively balanced and neutral summary of key events from 1948 up to two days ago. Obviously, people will still find fault with something here to get their blood boiling.

Nobody on here has said that but there will always be fanatics on both sides of this particular tragedy.

It’s very interesting that public opinion on this is slowly starting to move away from media and political views. Not sure I remember that happening before? Seeing people posting on social media about both sides being in the wrong, etc..
I wonder whether our politicians will start changing their tune or just continue on because world politics and alliances are more important

Starmer will know the level and quality of the evidence required so I don’t think he will as yet be quaking in his boots but this stance he is taking will certainly make a dent in his reputation. I personally feel that it is a bit premature citing war crimes at this stage . It will be an interesting outcome.
