Ridiculous that he can’t roam around infecting vulnerable people when his symptoms are only mild. What is wrong with this Government?

London (Omicron hotspot) hospitalisations up 92% in a week

Pretty awful for what is apparently only a cold

Up 92% from very little and death rates remain the same. Best part of 2 months into this latest panic and very little has changed. Love reading Currywurst’s league table of gloom though. Must try harder to terrify me

No new Covid rules in England until after the New Year. At least businesses know where they are now

Not particularly for extra restrictions at this point but surely would make more sense to do them now whilst a lot of people are off work and schools are out?

Think we'll get a two week lockdown some time in the new year if hospitalisations reach the 400 milestone

I'm not trying to terrify anyone

My intention, with all my posts, is to point out that while Omicron appears to be less deadly than Delta, it is still a disease that will and has hospitalised and killed dozens (so far) and is more than "Just a cold".

Its not milder, its just that most people have some immunity now from vaccines or previous infection.

Most doctors and Scientists are saying it looks like it is milder, but what do they know.

I get that , but it hasn’t killed dozens. The death rate has remained constant and Delta is still the main cause of death. Omicron will prove to be nothing more than an inconvenience made worse by Governments who are terrified of making more mistakes. If you have been jabbed and boostered all will be fine .

Well yes it has (as per UKHSA official reports) and with hospitalisations picking up that'll increase.

I'm sorry that you see people dying as an inconvenience.
