Probably. Unless we exhaust our testing facilities and see a "false plateau" just because we can't test all the people who want to be tested.

Went to 5 pharmacies earlier all out and there's no deliveries available on the .Gov website
Randomly my local library gets deliveries and the neighbours have got some there. Might be worth a go. They might look at your strangely if it’s just around here though.
Cheers

Just looked and my local library does them too

Once Xmas is over and "Missing Christmas" changes to "Days off work" we might see an increase of people with symptoms coming forward.

Why would you want to. It is doubling every 2 days and by the end of December it will be the dominant variant. The half baked restrictions are not doing anything to slow it’s progress and all evidence points to it being no more threatening than a cold. No deaths have been attributed to this variant.
Instead of acting on the result of the problem , as we always do , we should be sharpening our efforts along with WHO to attack the cause. We should be insisting on countries achieving 80% vaccination and placing restrictions on those that don’t. Until this happens , we may be dealing with variants for years and others may be more destructive than this one.
"No more threatening than a cold"

32 deaths and 324 hospitalisations in the last two days

Updates to follow
Latest Omicron data

300 hospitalisations (195 yesterday)
24 deaths (18 yesterday)

Particularly bad cold this season.

As we were told and as I have said all along. Everyone will come into contact with Omicron before the end of the year. Infection numbers were predicted weeks ago. Keep grabbing those straws Currywurst

And according to the BBC tonight there have been a total of 14 deaths since the beginning of November in people within 28 days of catching Omicron.
More people have died in RTAs since that time.
You will soon run out of straws in your one man quest to terrify the nation

If , as is being reported , numbers double every two days , shouldn’t that figure have been reached already.

Well the literal government document I quoted says otherwise

It's a shame but unsurprising you don't believe official statistics

It's estimated that 1 in 3 current Covid patients may have contracted Covid while in hospital for non covid conditions. It appears to be a serious problem with more and more staff off sick or self isolating

https://uk.yahoo.com/news/one-three-cov ... 55085.html

Also very likely that London is over the peak of infections, If it follows the South African model infections should fall quite quickly.

Not disputing it. I find it difficult to know who to believe anymore. Sticking to my views and hope this comes to nothing. I don’t worry about much and I won’t be worrying about this latest media hyped nonsense.
Happy for you to gloat and correct me in the spring

Off to Spain for a month so hopefully this storm in a tea cup will be over when I get back.

122k cases today. Hospitalisations in the past 7 days are up 8%, though that won't necessarily yet reflect the huge increase in cases over the past few days.

Getting back to what somebody said earlier, I can't say I'm disappointed that our game at Colchester has been postponed . I have a feeling we would have lost that game something like 2-0. It gives our players more of a rest and a chance to recover from any covid related issues . Plus by the time the game is played we should have one or two more new signings in the building

Saw on a news programme yesterday Germany are considering charging anyone that has not been vaccinated for their treatment if they require hospitalisation for COVID.

Same report was also saying that unvaccinated people hospitalised in the latest surge in the UK specially London are pleading to be vaccinated when they are admitted.
