Probably. Unless we exhaust our testing facilities and see a "false plateau" just because we can't test all the people who want to be tested.

They might look at your strangely if it’s just around here though.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 4:49 pm There's no lateral flow tests anywhere it seems just at the point people need them before Xmas interaction (probably why)
Went to 5 pharmacies earlier all out and there's no deliveries available on the .Gov website
Once Xmas is over and "Missing Christmas" changes to "Days off work" we might see an increase of people with symptoms coming forward.
Latest Omicron dataCurrywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 5:56 pm"No more threatening than a cold"George M wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 12:00 pmWhy would you want to. It is doubling every 2 days and by the end of December it will be the dominant variant. The half baked restrictions are not doing anything to slow it’s progress and all evidence points to it being no more threatening than a cold. No deaths have been attributed to this variant.
Instead of acting on the result of the problem , as we always do , we should be sharpening our efforts along with WHO to attack the cause. We should be insisting on countries achieving 80% vaccination and placing restrictions on those that don’t. Until this happens , we may be dealing with variants for years and others may be more destructive than this one.
32 deaths and 324 hospitalisations in the last two days

As we were told and as I have said all along. Everyone will come into contact with Omicron before the end of the year. Infection numbers were predicted weeks ago. If , as is being reported , numbers double every two days , shouldn’t that figure have been reached already.

Not disputing it. I find it difficult to know who to believe anymore. Sticking to my views and hope this comes to nothing. I don’t worry about much and I won’t be worrying about this latest media hyped nonsense.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 8:20 pmWell the literal government document I quoted says otherwiseGeorge M wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 7:21 pmAnd according to the BBC tonight there have been a total of 14 deaths since the beginning of November in people within 28 days of catching Omicron.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 6:17 pm
