Paywall.

I make a Caca right, I understood that the numbers in recent days were increasing by a similar amount (so a decreasing percentage rise), not jumping up at terrifying speeds?

That first chart doesn't make good viewing. We seem to have less cases, but that because we're not identifying them.

Agree Ron, we should have gone into lockdown some time ago IMO. Pubs and other gathering point should have been shut weeks ago too.

Streets of Notting Hill starting to look like those few days before carnival when all the poshos f*** off to their country homes for the duration. Only this time they filled the range rover with half the supermarket before they left.

We appear to be tracking Italy's death rate by about 14 days. This time two weeks ago they saw one of their first big leaps in deaths, with 133 in one day. If the same happens here tomorrow or Monday then it suggests we're on the same trajectory. If fewer die then maybe we're doing something right. Here's hoping.

We are exactly 2 weeks behind Italy.

That means in less than a fortnight 800 people per day will be dying.

Really frightening.

The USA appears to be on a much worse trajectory than Italy.

Corona virus thoretically doubles every day.

If you watch ch4 "The Last Leg "
They do a demonstration with jelly babies ,

Many innocent and vulnerable people will pay for this in the next few weeks.

Testing and social distancing appears to be working in Ireland. I know it's early days but here's hoping.

The problem with comparing these figures is that the amount, frequency and place of testing is always going to distort things. We are only testing in hospitals with vastly more people having the mild symptoms at home and not being reported. Whereas other countries have tested more widely in and out of hospitals.

Heeding the advice of experts over ideologists like Boris and Cummings.

Boris has killed British people with his lack of understanding and leadership.

I don't say that lightly for some sort of political advantage.

How does that explain them having 5 times more cases, but half as many deaths?

(Which my maths makes our mortality rate 10 times higher than theirs?)
