Was amazed that he'd been at Oxford for 5 years. Got them into the playoffs twice in that time, basically any manager is toast these days as soon as a bad run stretches to more than 6 matches.

They were 10th in the Championship when he joined them in October, now they are 9th.

Their mad hiring and firing was reasonably successful when they seemed to have a 'plan' in terms of how they played and a decent core of players who were too good for the Champ. Now they just seem to fetch random people in who have nothing in common and then just burn them when - surprise, surprise - it doesn't quite work out within a few months.

He's a decent manager and I think he'll improve Watford .

I thought he was doing fairly OK there . Palace have roughly been a mid table Premier League club now for years and I can't see that changing anytime soon .

Palace are sleep walking into relagation. Only 3 pts from safety now. They play pretty football but have no bite, they either draw or lose 1-0. They have been crying out for a striker all season but didn't get one in January. You can't win or even draw games if you can't score. Unfortunately it won't matter who comes in, they haven't anyone to score.

I have enjoyed my season with them though, off to the Emirates on Sunday

Always come across as fair. Did a decent job at Morecambe
Either way, I think (sadly in a way) Rochdale are doomed to the NL this season new manager or not..

That's how many times now that he has been sacked from football club management?

After spending £323 million in January……….madness.
Probably on his way to N17 as I write this.
