Season ticket sales speak for themselves
Agreed. How many other L2 clubs have 3,500 season ticket holders?
How many clubs who get promoted get a drop of 500 on last year when they should get a rise in season ticket sales ?
Have you not seen my explanation above for the likely reason for the decrease?

You might be right cream and you’ve put forward a decent argument for why. I personally think we will make the target number, a boost will happen shortly once the fixtures are released and people paid and then It will continue to increase through the season.

Not at all NT mentioned yesterday that just over 3400 have been sold to date

That's only an increase of 150 since the 23rd May despite a hard sell, it could well be due to the lack of quality signings announced with only Josh Wright coming in.
A statement from the club needs to be made immediately to reassure fans that have already bought season tickets and those considering buying that our star players will not be sold and that there will be quality signings brought in very soon.
Without a statement to this effect I do not believe the club will sell more than a handful of additional season tickets.
It's almost as though something has happened in the last few weeks that may have stopped people thinking about season tickets.

It's also almost like PoundhillO needs the club to hold his hand through every tiny little thing.

Disagree that we'll hit 4,000 before the start of the season. Really hope I'm wrong but can't see it for reasons already stated.

I doubt we will hit 4000. Selling players ain’t gonna boost sales for sure. Our only chance will be the quality of our signings. Can’t see the fixture release making any difference. We know who we are playing, the fixture release just says when.

Now we’ve sold our top scorer we won’t be hitting that target and we will now struggle to hit 4K. After this news I’m agreeing with Cream.

Who wants to buy a season ticket when your best player is sold for peanuts?

Bad business I’m afraid.

Depends who comes in to replace him, but it'd have to be a hell of a signing.

Someone like John Akinde could probably be had for less than £200k and generate some excitement.

Don't think we can afford a gamble looking at the strikers left at the club, he has to be proven.

How difficult is it for people to understand, we had no choice in the matter he exercised his release clause, just the same as our incoming signing did.

Does that mean he could of gone for 10 grand
& we would have no choice ?
I honestly do not know about these things ?

If a club meets the min release clause then the player is entitled to talk to that club regardless of the club he is at doesn't want him too.

So it's being said on here Bonnes min release fee was £200k so if Charlton offered that or anymore than that then Orient have an obligation to inform him and then it's up to the player to decide. The club has no sway in his decision.

The club could have offered to increase his wages, bung him a signing on fee to remove the old clause and carry on, but most players won't do that for obvious reasons.

I hate to burst your doom&gloom-bubble, but we've actually sold far more season tickets than at this stage last year.

By the 24th June 2018 we were only at just over 2400:

Took us to 7th July to reach 3500:

And by 27th September we were still 20 short of the 4k

So may be a tad premature to suggest a wild slump in numbers just yet.

So Akinde, the top scorer last season at the L2 champions, about to turn 30 and with two years on his contract, would be seriously interested in joining a brand new L2 side. Oh Pevans!

Rumours suggest that Huddersfield are no longer interested in JK and are now chasing Forest Green Rovers Reece Brown 11 goals and 15 assists last season can go for 100k makes the 200k for Bonne a good day at the office

Like for like how? His goals need replacing, but I don't see why we need the same type of player.

If he has a £100k release then maybe we should see if he'd be interested in signing for us.
