And some pretty decent players to achieve that.

Well it was always a long shot.
Swindon are looking at Tisdale and they are a much bigger club.
Jackett was never on.

You could be right which could leave the dreaded Calderwood

To be honest I haven’t got a problem with Calderwood.
Tisdale was not rated up here at MK even after promotion.
The football was drab and boring, which they were prepared to put up with but once they went 11 games with just one win that was it.
They paid him and FOUR assistants off.
I don’t believe he was rated by Exeter’s fans either.
Jackett would be a great choice but far too expensive.
So for me.... Calderwood.

I can relate to that. My son lives in Perth WA. We have exactly the same conversation when talking about distance. A local gig for him could be over a 150 mile round trip. Nothing to him. The longer ones are a two day drive each way, with a sleep over en-route. Sometimes a flight.

I’ve done a lot of driving in Australia. Massive continent. A whole different focus on distance. England would get lost if plonked into Oz.

Was in Melbourne once. Said to the wife, let’s pop to Sydney. Looks close on the map! I never made that mistake again!!!

Our closeness to everything here is negated by the massive traffic jams we can get.Timewise your son’s 150 mile round trip could be no different to a 70 mile trip in the UK. Fecking roadworks everywhere
