From what I have been reading Orient will need a 60,000 seater to accommodate all the Arsenal and Spurs fans who are heading this way. Better get my season ticket quick.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 7:25 pmI dunno. Apparently lots of angry Spurs fans saying they'll switch to us instead. Will believe it when I see it (all the Holsten shirts at games).

It could mean lower league clubs will have to stop paying players ridiculous salaries on gates of 5000.Snowyash wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 9:27 am36 league games, teams will play both home and awayKenleyO wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 8:28 am How are they going to fit all these proposed matches in? 18 league games, then potentially another 7 games if you are in the play offs. The English clubs will want to opt out of the EFL trophy as an absolute minimum. You can probably add no replays in the FA cup ever again. Add in the international calendar, players will be playing 2 games a week for nearly all of the season. Completely unsustainable on a physical level, let alone an evironmental one with all the travelling.
Don't agree oftet with Gary Neville, but he is right to request points deduction for even suggesting this as if it goes through, this country will be down to 2 professional leagues when all the TV money dries up for an inferior premier league product.

We can make an offer for the empty Arsenal /Tottenham grounds - in fact pit them against each other for our business. Hoping this goes through - the fuxwits will be out in the cold or perhaps contrary to that playing in the Far East to their fan base.

Re: European Super League
I reckon Arsenal are more likely to decamp to the USA and take up residence in Kroneke’s $5 billion super stadium. Remodel the roof to have fire breathing wyverns at each end. Far better than a clock. Or a cock in the case of Spurs.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 10:12 pm We can make an offer for the empty Arsenal /Tottenham grounds - in fact pit them against each other for our business. Re: European Super League
*** BREAKING NEWS ***
Brace yourselves -- it isn't just the "Big Six". Now the rumor is that Leyton Orient (along with Harrogate Town and Bradford City) have been invited to join a new "European Super League Two". It will also include selected high-profile teams from Serie C (Italy), Tercera Division (Spain), 3. Liga (Germany), Championnat National (France), and National Division 1 (Belgium).
While it may upset traditionalists, it can only help LOFC's global profile if there are regular fixtures against the likes of Rupel Boom, Foggia, or Choco.

Yes , but the point you seem to be missing is , that they were Orient colours & badges being changed .RientO wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 10:55 pmOrient have always been changing colours and badges. Blue, red and white have all been the main colours down the years. Re: European Super League
Ok - we stay at Brissie Road.
Best way/most equitable approach thereafter, given that we will sellout season tickets is that each current season ticket holder has the opportunity to adopt a Spurs/Arsenal/Chelsea fan of their choice.
We could open up an adoption site and let them put their sorry stories to us.

I adopted a Chelsea fan in the early 1980's and used to keep him company in a deserted North Bank when the O's were away. The novelty soon wore off.

In fact in our 2-2 draw with Chelsea in 1982 there was a staggering 6,009 attendance at the Bridge! And it was a London Derby!

This comment by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, says it all:
"The move had been made because young people are no longer interested in football because of a lot of poor quality games. Whenever there is change, there are always people who oppose it. We are doing this to save football at this critical moment".
We should be grateful.

Not so...
Joel Glazer, co-chairman of Manchester United and vice-chairman of the Super League said: "“By bringing together the world’s greatest clubs and players to play each other throughout the season, the Super League will open a new chapter for European football, ensuring world- class competition and facilities, and increased financial support for the wider football pyramid.”
