It took a set-piece.

That's not an endorsement of our football. We still need to change. Get it forward quicker. Get players up and around Abrahams. Have a go Jobi for goodness sake.

Going to be against a lot of opinions here but we’ve looked better today with the 4-2-3-1. sh*t defending for the goal but that’s more to do with basics like pressing and being the right sid le as a centre half rather than overall shape. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not fantastic but there’s just a bit of improvement in terms of going forwards.

Agreed. One of the things I don't understand is we're getting into quite decent wide positions and have a striker who's in theory better in the air than Johnson yet refuse to cross it and wind up overcomplicating things. Don't really like it when people say a teams trying to be too clever, but it's definitely the case with us. We have inverted players all over the pitch and I'm not sure your average League 2 player is good enough to pull that off.

Stick Cissé upfront for rest of the season let's go route one, maybe he's the target man we've always wanted hiding in plain sight...

Abrahams is strong and quick but he’s not big and won’t bother most L2 defences aerially. And none of Freeman or Kemp or Clay are going to help out either.

Can you imagine if Wilko decided he was prepared to put himself about and play through the middle a la Loft. Then, maybe, we'd have another way of playing that was a bit more direct. Instead he's "more comfortable" doing diddly piddle from the right.

I know what Frank Clarke would have told him.

So if you run 10 miles regularly you shouldn't expect to achieve faster times or be able to run further?
Correct, you'd need to do speed work, hills, and longer distances to achieve that
Damn, must have been something other than two 10 mile runs a week for five weeks that consistently improved my times and helped me to build up to half marathon distance then.

Show pony. Have always said that. Just does enough every week and thinks a league two footballer is making it. If he put in 100% he could play much higher.

Be wonderful to see some non-Ling-approved tactics and selections but never gonna happen. I'll take a 5'2" midfielder from the middle and a striker on the wing from the top please Martin 😏

I thought that was a red. Marginal but wouldn’t have been surprised.
