As long as it's not to the British Government backed Protestant Paramilitary Death Squads I'm OK with the reporting

Logistically it would have been tough for me to make my way from NE Scotland to N Ireland on a paperboy's wage so I decided to wait until I was 17 and working and earning a wage. By the time I was 17, I was older and slightly wiser and, although still sympathetic to the cause, couldn't imagine myself actually killing someone, so gave it a miss. My point is, most of us have silly thoughts when we are young. It doesn't mean that this young woman is necessarily evil, she was maybe just a silly young girl
Well put. Can everyone please read this and take note?

If she was made Orient manager, she would turn things around, and heads would soon be rolling.

I keep hearing about bringing her back and "rehabilitating " her but would that not be us regrooming her into our way of thinking. From my experience I quickly learnt that it would be wrong to change the mindset of others in that situation, let her belive what she wants but the simple fact is her thinking is incompatible with the safety of Britain and for that reason she should not be allowed back. I wish the girl luck but for me that should be the end of the story within the British media.

Obviously the story would be different if she was repentant and understood what she was doing (in terms of our beliefs) was illegal but her mindset is fixed and trust me nothing can change that.

Actually, if you study your History, you will see that it didn't work out well for those who played for the opposition, in WWII. About ten in all, most ended up in a chair & shot. We even did William Joyce the honour of using his passport to help his demise, as he was a Yank. The moral of the story, is that if you play for the opposition, make sure that they are gonna win!

Loving the "We all did stupid stuff at 15" takes as if stealing pick and mix from Woolworths and flying halfway across the world to join a Terrorist death cult are equally bad life choices.

We as citizens live in the most watched country in the world. She will be the most watched person in the most watched country. I don’t think her changing names to Shamima Begum-Ewegemy and moving from Manchester to Ipswich is going to allow her to disappear. It’s really not something to worry about if she came back.

The thing is, you can detest Shamina Begum, her beliefs and actions.

You can justifiably doubt her motivations and sincerity, her claims for remorse and the crassness of the Union Jack cushion in that photo.

You can be concerned about any risk she may present to the UK and the message allowing her back will send to others like her.

You can question the cultural backdrop in which the actions of ISIS were perceived as anything but abhorrent.

You can also scoff at the ridiculous false equivalence with genuine victims of grooming, or the usual misdemeanours of most teenagers.

But you should be concerned that the government has not only stripped someone of their citizenship, but also denied them a chance to a fair hearing to review that decision. Our society which, for all its faults, I believe is one of the best in the world, is based upon the rule of law. Yet justice is being denied.

If we're better than ISIS and numerous other backward countries, then we owe it to ourselves to bring Shamina back and not leave others to have to deal with our problems.

The SC considered the specific point of whether she should be entitled to return to the UK to attend an appeal hearing. They've made their reasoning clear. But my opinion is considering things from a wider perspective.

I know, I wrote it in the opening post.

I'm just playing the right wing heel to keep the thread going.

I wonder if the Daily Mail and their fanboys on here still think that the Supreme Court are "enemies of the people"? It's so hard to keep up.
