Your fault, you entered Eurovision. Now you're part of the EU too.
Anyway, good to hear that people were out voting for their unelected officials.

The lib dems should have walked away when the Tories watered all things they agreed down. That would have given them a position of strength, rather than a scapegoat.
Is that so. You are beginning to sound like you feel you are the font of all political knowledge.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 12:14 amReally .? I don't think so mate .

Only because the Tories have been in power a lot more then the LIbDems . When the LibDems were in colilation with the Tories they proved they can be very inch as bad .Disoriented wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 9:36 pmIs that so. You are seriously deluded if you think the Tories have done less harm to the country than the Lib Dems.

Without the support of the LibDems the Tories couldn't have done it .Disoriented wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 3:17 pm Tuition fees was a Tory policy, as was austerity.
They were the minority in the government.
You are firing bullets at the wrong army fella.
Yeah, agreeing with every damn thing the Tories wanted .Disoriented wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 6:07 pm That is what is called a coalition.
Funny how the junior students get the blame for the excesses of the prefects,
Austerity was not a policy of the government of that time, it was forced onto them due to the acceptance of public debt on to the states books. I’m sure you remember the saving of the banking structure in this country, a banking structure that failed due to a lack of regulation if you like from the previous labour government. This coupled with the high debts left by the last labour government forced the collation government to implement asterity as a measure to reduce the deficit and keep control of debts whilst reassuring the markets that the government can pay its way and honour its obligations.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 3:17 pm Tuition fees was a Tory policy, as was austerity.

Governments love to spend money. Makes them popular. Austerity is something no party would willingly choose as a policy and it is stupid to think it is.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 11:22 am Thor even Gideon has dropped that defence. Maybe you should too.
Less spend and a smaller state is the tories main objective. It’s stupid to think it isn’t.dOh Nut wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 6:01 pmGovernments love to spend money. Makes them popular. When the Tories came to power the countries finances were shot. They inherited a very difficult position. Of course they could have increased borrowing but they chose to cut their cloth accordingly. If people choose to believe they inherited a good position then fine, but we all know they didn't. We can all argue about how effectively they dealt with a sorry state of affairs but there is no question about the state of the country they took on. and that were not their fault.
That’s how the American system works and they seem to like it. Less taxes to be taken, more of your own cash to spend, does that not appeal to you then?CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 11:33 pmLess spend and a smaller state is the tories main objective.
