Still calling Travis a liar? Disgusting.
You are the one mentioning Travis.
If there was a venue & a team available then the game would gave gone ahead.
Don't try to defend the indefensible.
Orient were unable to fulfill the fixture
Travis started we had a team ready to play the game.
You have suggested - yet again - that wasn’t the case.
I hope the club reads your defamatory comments and takes action against you.
They would be onto plums there Red"""""yyy. Spen is undefeated in open court. He would literally tie them up in legal knots.

Danny has stated on the Orient hour the players were asymptomatic so why would anyone know that covid was showing as positive in any of the people later identified as being positive?
That's just not consistent with Boss's statement that there was a bug in the camp.
A bug could be anything
Even Covid.

Right. In your opinion it is not the point.
Is it also not your opinion that the EFL are negligent by not insisting on all clubs not now being tested given that some other clubs are also now reporting positive tests?
The EFL guidelines aren’t my opinion
Oh go on. You have an opinion on most other things
Reading clearly isnt your strong point either

Why - bloody common sense
But throwing up isn’t a symptom.
In children throwing up is an acknowledged symptom in the U.K. And according to Some USA institute for disease or whatever they call themselves, it can be a symptom in adults too. Reasonable given that it’s acknowledged as a child’s symptom. But who knows, adults ain’t children.
I accept there are all sorts of ideas and theories doing the rounds, many conflicting views. Who knows the truth. Well, nobody does. Thereby is the problem. It ain’t black and white.
For me their is a simple solution. Get a test and rule out Covid. That is a simple and fairly quick solution. And one that demonstrates beyond doubt the club is leaving no stone unturned.
They should have done this, they didn’t.

But it’s expensive to do the regular testing, Maffy. At a time Clubs Income has fallen through the floor.
I think you were right a bit early to suggest Orient have put money before health on this. They aren’t alone, and though some will whine the EFL didn’t insist on mandatory tests so we did nothing wrong, that overlooks how the EFL works: the Clubs basically vote on the rules and regs rather than have some head honcho lay down the law.
I can see the season petering out quite quickly as more positive tests shut down Clubs, especially as they will (nearly) all be making losses with no gate income. It’s already happening at NLN level where the clubs there have said they’d rather not start playing with no income and no gate money.

I know our opinions differ here, but there is one thing we can all agree on - you can't count on those rats at the EFL to do us any favours.

I totally accept the financial difficulties and respect the efforts of the Board who are putting their hands deep into their pockets to keep us going. I am genuinely grateful.
But.
I honestly believe, in this particular case, the club got it wrong.

I’m sure we could have cobbled together a team featuring kids and stiffs, and would have cynically/desperately done so at the risk of a 10-0 pumping to get our hands on the Sky TV money. It would have been the wrong thing to do though. And besides, we couldn’t host the game anyway with the ground not given the green light by the authorities (LBWF?).

We could, travis categorically stated that was the case.
I don’t get why a handful of ‘fans’ believe he’s lying about it.
As it happens, I reckon the under 18 team would have bloody loved the chance to play against Spurs kids in front of the cameras.

Regular testing is expensive at £100 a head, but if so few showed symptoms, it wouldn't have added up to much to test just those people. Failing that, send them home until they can get a NHS test.
In any case you have to isolate whatever the test result.

Well, it has cost the club £150k
