There's a big difference between bias and wanting to give someone an opportunity. And on that note your post is essentially confirmation bias.UpminsterO wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2020 4:20 pmDifferent eventsSmendrick Feaselberg wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2020 3:58 pmThe same bias towards Embleton that caused him to have a bust up with Fletcher?UpminsterO wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2020 3:40 pm If it is true maybe he got frustrated with the bias towards Ross - the truth will eventually come out
Maybe he was advised by his dad an expierenced manager
Or sol going from Southend and he is going there![]()
If he has been sacked I doubt it is because he is going to Southend - we'd just let him go without sacking him.
1 - If fletcher and him both had a fight then unless either of them were acting in self defence both gave to go for that -
2. The bias to Ross which as clear as a big pimple on the end of anyones nose may be the reason he left not sacked as gossip may say - why stay if there is a frusted career path to person that is classified as brilliant by the boss but has yet to win a couple of matches - hoping of course it changes today

Coudnt be happier, has made my day.
The jury is still well out on Embleton, was it a flash in the pan, let's face it on the law of averages he had to win one sooner or later !
Or is it the start of a new beginning, with the O's on their way finally to at least a play off place ?

Vital, absolutely vital win. Showed the work rate and commitment required today, no doubt inspired by the stand naming. Got to keep that as the standard now.

You can keep saying it was bias but that doesn't make it correct.UpminsterO wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2020 5:18 pmToday is about being grateful for three pointsSmendrick Feaselberg wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2020 5:06 pmThere's a big difference between bias and wanting to give someone an opportunity. Different events
I am all for opportunities but not if they are biased opportunities due to favouritism and other staff are not assisted in the same way which I am quite happy another day to list out my explanation with reasons - but today is about enjoying the three precious points
Your bias was shown immediately when you claimed Webb might not have been sacked and then made your point about him leaving due to bias. Giving someone an opportunity is not bias, even if they aren't necessarily the right person for the job compared to other external candidates. There are clearly personal reasons why Embleton decided to become permanent manager and negotiating a new contract reflected that.

Re: Newport (H) Exiles Thread
Sargeant was at fault for the goal. The guy headed it in from about two yards out. Sarge should have just caught the floating cross and spared us a nervy last few minutes. But overall, thought we were decent. Cisse looks like he might be the answer to our midfield conundrum. Ruel looked lively throughout. Thought Brophy was excellent today. But we need to move the ball quicker in midfield. Thought Newport were very average. Only attacking idea seemed to be the long throw.

HM when you see the highlights you will be questioning the marking of the two attackers. Yes he should have still saved it, but the marking was woeful.

Re: Newport (H) Exiles Thread
Well, certainly true to say that either of them could have headed it in so marking was non-existent.

Re: Newport (H) Exiles Thread
Nonsense to suggest he should have claimed the cross. Harold and Happe at fault for that.

Re: Newport (H) Exiles Thread
That would give us 48 points . Iβm not sure that will be enough for safety
Re: Newport (H) Exiles Thread
Maybe not if there were 2 going down.
Stevenage taking 26 points from the last 17 games would be the equivalent of 70 points in a season. Not sure their improvement will be that large.
Reckon early 40s will be enough, so yeah 3 wins and 4/5 draws.
The win has taken off the pressure massively for the Crewe game, which I regard as a bit of a free hit now. I expect to get beat as they are better than us, but as long as there is a good performance in there to take into Stevenage I won't be too disappointed.
