Re: Exiles/Matchday thread vs Oldham 7th Dec
Full time. Good second half but lacking creativity. Good to have Angol and Wilkinson back. Turley and Happe were really solid. Hector was superb. Some encouraging signs.
Ling looked like a kid that had a won a prize of being a pro footballer for the day.

Release Judd, his injury record is atrocious. Needs to start again elsewhere as it's not working at Orient. Turley first choice RB, Ling reserve and bring in a new CB in January. In the meantime play Happe & Ekpiteta as the pairing.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:52 pmJudd is no better . Maybe it's time to bring in a new RB
FT 1-1, that's 3 in a row for me on the prediction game which is about as good as it gets today. Better than losing but we haven't beaten any of the relegation candidates, which doesn't bode well.

Turley was too good at CB today to take him out of there.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:56 pmRelease Judd, his injury record is atrocious. Ling simply cannot start the next game after that performance. It’s like playing with 10 men.

Although Turley can play there , he's not a natural RB, he's a CB. New proper RB is needed.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:56 pmRelease Judd, his injury record is atrocious. Re: Exiles/Matchday thread vs Oldham 7th Dec
At least Stevenage and Morecambe didn't win...keeps the gap respectable.
Some hope going forward that sentiment is at an end and this is a new start. Do Brill, Coulson or Clay deserve to come back in the team? No.
Think we need at least one win in the next month though from some tough fixtures, if not I think the board will be forced to get a manager.

Play either Marvin or Myles.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 5:03 pmUntil January what do you do though?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 5:02 pmAlthough Turley can play there , he's not a natural RB, he's a CB. New proper RB is needed.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:56 pm

Given recent form and the bad start, that’s a decent away point. Embleton’s decision to make changes validated.

Clay will be the interesting one, the same was said earlier in the season when Gorman was having a good run of form but was instantly dropped one Clay was available for selection. Today illness seems to have made that decision for RE but next week we shall see.

Turley is more of a RB than Ling will ever be.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 5:02 pmAlthough Turley can play there , he's not a natural RB, he's a CB. Marvin yes but he has to play CB, Turley is class wherever you play him but looks more comfortable than Ekpiteta there.
Judd may as well just stick to reserve games and training, can't stay fit for more than 1 game at a time.

Re: Exiles/Matchday thread vs Oldham 7th Dec
Hector was playing as the deeper, holding player. Marsha and Wright were ahead of him.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 5:10 pmClay will be the interesting one, the same was said earlier in the season when Gorman was having a good run of form but was instantly dropped one Clay was available for selection. Hector didn’t look as if he was a kid starting out. That’s the biggest compliment you can pay a youngster. He has to get a run.
Marsh was more advanced in a less natural position for him, so wouldn’t be surprised if Clay came in for him. Not saying he should be, just saying it wouldn’t be a shock.

I think Marsh’s booking was his 5th of the season, if so then I should imagine that, if fit, Clay is nailed on to start in his place

Nuff said about your personal bias that is. He wasn't up against Ling. Commentary said that his run was made easier with Widdowson was out of position and Smith beat Happe for pace for the goal.

Indeed. Whilst Ling was his usual ineffectual self, Joe broke his own record for aggregate match yardage distance from the player he should have been marking - they had acres of space all game down their right to cross and shoot at will.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 5:36 pmNuff said about your personal bias that is. Obviously nowt to do with the ineffectual Ling but we had enough bodies back to deal with it. We just got caught cold,
